Well, they still fight, as do the Welsh. However, perception swings in roundabouts. Brits have very mixed perceptions I've noticed.

You separated them, personally I prefer to be called English, not British and Im sure you prefer to be called Scottish.

Trev..not sure about that one though :D

I am born and raised in canada, but my father was born and raised in Scotland so i am scottish...(only half but still i am told i have a scottish temper and sex drive hahah). the man i was seeing was born and raised for his first few years of life in Poland. his siblings were both raised there aswell. now that his siblings are older and married to polish women and he is the only child that is of the marrying age he believes that he and i cannot work. since i am not polish and needs space. like honestly?? what is wrong with men today, why does your cultural background have to do with who you date and love? his mother and father seemed to like me she even invited me a few time over for a big dinner to meet his siblings and he got a wee bit upset and nervous about that. i dont understand why. i know Polish just like us scots are natural attached to our familes we have that bond with them, but why i dont get this, i am extremely upset about it. and i find when we would see eachother he seemed to have a very high sex drive like wow :D so we got along great that way. he seemed to be worried that when i met the rest of his family i would feel uncomfortable because they normally speak polish when together even infront of his young nephew.

so i dont know what to do. is this normal....are scots and polish people really right. its sad because im young cousin he and his girlfriend who met when they were young arwe still together and again he is scottish(half like me lol) and she is polish....so i dont get it......

Well, judging by Sean Connery, Scottish and Polish relationship would sooner or later develop as relationship of two independent peoples.

Scottish independence 'will come in time' - Sean Connery

Thursday 22nd October 2015 / The Scotsman
scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/scottish-independence-will-come-in-time-sean-connery-1-3886874#axzz3pKJNM1nR

Sean Connery has insisted that it's 'only a matter of time' before Scotland is an independent country.

As part of the audiobook adaptation of Mr Salmond's referendum diary, Sir Sean reads the lines: "The people of Scotland - the real guardians of Scotland - spoke in the referendum.

"They spoke again by majority in the election.

"They will not be prevented from speaking again. Scotland's future is in Scotland's hands."

At least these Scots are sane people. They washing their hands from Britain.

You do realise that in a free and fair referendum, Scotland voted no and also that were the same referendum held again today the NAW vote may well be higher? Perhaps not.

Should they choose to separate in the future, nobody will stand in their way. The Poles when under the Russian yoke among other nasty regimes could not say the same.

To compare Poland's struggle against and Scotland's Nats is fallacious. Aside from Poland having a population 8 times higher or thereabouts, Poland struggled against three cruel oppressors and Scotland had no oppressor at all - in fact it joined the UK through free choice. Scotland does not lack influence - there was a period a little while ago where the leader of 2 the UK's 3 major political parties were from Scotland: Brown and Menzies-Campbell. The other was called Cameron.

Of course you can always prefer the words of a retired actor who lives in America.

yes, referendum happened and as Sean Connery said there would be new one. You sow what man said. He knows.

To compare Poland's struggle against and Scotland's Nats is fallacious.

Duda nicely said that he seek for Intermarium. That makes him on the same side with Scots, at least in one thing- in desire to say bye bye to England. i love brat Duda for that. Duda is popular in Serbia.

Don`t lie publicly. Shame on you. England oppressing Scots from long time ago. England oppressing Poland as well. Its just sad that Polish ruling politicians failed to tell it to Poles.

Sean Connery, Crowie, is very far from authoritative.

That makes him on the same side with Scots, at least in one thing- in desire to say bye bye to England.

I will repeat this slowly and carefully. The Scots chose to stay.

England oppressing Scots from long time ago. England oppressing Poland as wel

Codswallop.

You're just sullen and bitter because Britain (including Scotland - do you know how many Scots are in the army?) did the right thing when Serbia were massacring and raping women and children.

Sean Connery, isn't he the one who believes that women should be beaten up by their husbands/partners? I was shocked....

Quite. And the thread is about Scottish/Polish relations, since 1801 largely cultural, something outside politics and certainly nothing to do with the Balkans.

i for sure don`t know why then you provoke? But, i forgive you. i even suggest you to go back to topic.

The topic is Scottish & Polish (actually Polish/Scottish according to protocol) relations, which do not have a political aspect other than in the sense of Scotland being an independent country within the UK. Should they vote to secede, that may change (or may not, since diplomatic relations are not likely to be unaffected since the rest of Britain and Scotland share common goals, would never be competitors and would most likely share diplomacy) and Crowie, we will certainly let you know if that happens.

You may be disappointed though, since the ethos, the politics, the commitment to human rights etc of Scotland would be as far from those of Serbia as it gets. You can take the Sturgeon person if you like (please!) - though given a choice, she'd almost certainly prefer Kososvo to Serbia. Love her or hate her, she is committed to fairness, equality, Socialism, pluralism and peace - all those things that Serbia dislikes.

And in Polish/Scottish relations, most of those concepts ready exist.

Old Scotland was part of Sarmatian (ie Slavic) world. Scots resisted to the invading Romans and other Romanized foes- Romano Brits and English. Let brave ancestors of Scots rest in peace.
