We're going to Poland for a wedding. The best man contacted me about a bachelor party for the groom. He said he was planning it and wanted to know if I wanted to join. Since I have not been to a Polish bachelor party, I wanted to get an idea on what to expect. What traditions are normally involved? Do I bring a gift? It seems like they are staying somewhere overnight. Do I offer to contribute money to the party?
Batchelor parties in Poland are relatively new thing brought over from the US actually but I would say it will almost certainly involve a lot of drinking of vodka. Having been to one I can only tell you about 1 experience but I think it will almost certainly follow the same lines. Polish parties generally take place around a table with plenty of food with the drink being vodka drunk neat and chased with some juice. Make sure you eat and eat as this is the only way to avoid getting absolutely drunk. Normally I would suggest taking a bottle of nice Vodka to this kind of party. If your budget can stretch to it I would recommend Belvedere goes for around 175 pln per bottle. I would say a contribution is probably not needed but depends on where they are doing it Poles in general are extremely generous and any party will be fully catered for. Tell me where you are staying and when the party is and I may be able to give you some insights as north and south Poland differ in marriage traditions
I have been to a few and it's normally in a bar somewhere, plenty to drink and possibly a stripper or something like that arranged. If you can't keep up then ask that your shot glass is only half filled. Drink plenty of liquid and put some lemon in if possible., eat gherkins, oily fish and greasy food and if it's vodka then stick to vodka.
Since the groom is from Gdansk, then I suspect that the bachelor's party will be in that vicinity. Since I will be the only non-Polish participant, then I think I will bring some grade A moonshine with me.

I was going to propose something like this: partykrakow.co.uk/stag-weekends-krakow/pranks/dwarf-hire
Just to update my recent experience on this. The party was in Sopot. The touristy part of the city is a very nice area. I especially like its proximity to the beach and the pier. The best man rented an apartment near the tourist area, so 10 of us spent the night there. The first part of the event was an outing at a shooting range. This was followed by a stroll in the tourist area of Sopot for supplies and snacks. Then, we went back to the apartment for a strip show. The entertainer was "**** star" hot. After this appetizer, we went to a restaurant. This was followed with a club outing.
In my view, Polish bachelor parties are no different than USA ones. It's the same wild fun.
If you would ever look for a nice place to organize bachelor party in Warsaw, definitely go for New club. The dancers are the best in the town and food/alcohol service is world-class!
I think Poles like to copy things from famous Hollywood movies, so I'd expect the "best" bachelor parties in Poland are pretty much a good imitation of ones from Las Vegas and such.
