If it catches on here in Poland, the PF's womanisers (dziwkarze) will have a harder time of it in the free shag zone.

Only in your old school catholic conservative dreams.

If you are Christian and read scripture you would know that morals originate from the heart and nowhere else (i.e., just because one wears a chastity ring doesn't mean they are moral). And as for you, if your ambition is to become a journalist you are going to have to become a bit more open minded if you are going to "get" the story.

I completely disagree. Morals are rules made up by a society. As an example: when Captain Cook discovered the Hawaiian Islands, morals there were - by European standards of that era - close to non-existent. So were the explorers morally superior, or did the Pacific Islanders simply have a different set of morals which was incompatible with the European one?

It is nice that people wear it and are proud of this.

My sister wore one for a while. So now wears a promise ring, and she and her boyfriend are both waiting until marriage.

Exactly. Besides, with Poland's declining birth rate it isn't such a good idea.

Sleeping around is not done with an intention to pro-create, it is done for fun, so what is the difference?

I think if a girl or young woman in Poland or anywhere else has the self-control and self-respect to commit herself to remain pure until marriage she should be admired for it. The chastity ring signals her decision to men. Some kinds of men will love her for her decision, others will shun her. The ones who shun her are unlikely to be worthy of her love.

The Decalogue was divinely inspired. And whenever it was followed, things went well; when it was ingored, all hell broke loose. Wouldn't it be great and more economical (less money wasted on locks, ararm systems, lie detectors and lawyers) if fewer people stole, lied, badmouthed their parents and cheated on theri spouses?

I honestly see no problems with chastity rings. People wear football shirts, not just to play football or when going to matches, even just when out and about, I think this is tacky [and I like football] but if it makes them feel good or feel like true fans [even though you do not have to wear the shirt to be a true fan] then so be it. Why do people wear a rolex? Why do you need gold on a watch? Obviously it makes them feel better for whatever reason. At least a Chastity ring means something, you do not have to wear it but if you want to, just like wearing a cross, then so be it.

This will change nothing. Polish women will continue to spread their legs easily hehehe.

In some American circles it is said of easy girls that they've got 'peanut-butter legs' -- easy to spread.

Peanut butter is not that easy to spread. I consume it a lot. Ordinary butter, now that is easier.
