Buying alcohol in Warsaw Poland for wedding, advice needed, wine, vodka, beer, spirits

hi ,
getting married in Poland later on in year , and need some advice ,getting married in hotel , but we will be supplying our own alcohol.
has any one done this before . getting married in Warsaw so ideally the supplier will need to be from around there and be able to deliver

looking for vodka , kegs of beer red white wine and some other spirits .
as we live overseas will need everything to bee delivered . if possible if un touched cases can be returned ..
anyone any experiences ?

Normally the supplier is you and your in-laws


Kegs of beer in a Hotel, may be a difficult one.


This I suspect will be the difficult one.

Normally you buy from a supermarket or warehouse and deliver to the Hotel yourself, anything left over is returned to you or your in-laws. I have never heared of a company that will deliver and collect and refund you on the unused.

You can only be so cheap.

Its actually a top hotel in Warsaw , but we have been given the option to buy all or own drink or buy a package from the hotel .As requested from my original post i was looking for advice on previous experiences and some names of vendors if anybody had any ?

If i was looking for a joker i would have gone to the comedy section in this forum ....
I was told from hotel that wholesalers would take back unused cases, obviously not opened kegs or open bottles , and would deliver in city center warsaw ,

so if anybody out there can genuinely advise ,thanks in advance

Thanks for that is there a website or Facebook page for this restaurant or possible photos ,somewhere i Can see . I have hotel booked and confirmed for day of wedding, but maybe it could be option for day after wedding for some food an drink with family and friends

we were kinda looking for beer garden types restaurant for second day with grill or bbq type menu ... would def be interested in pan klub ,

do you know pub lolek , and if so ,what do you think of this place?? . will have maybe 50 travelling guests and 50 poles at wedding .

Well there are two Pubs Bolek and Lolek, they are just pubs which serve food- nothing memorable I would have thought the Harenda Pub would be better suited for what you want as it allows your guests to do a little shopping or sight seeing if they don't want to get involved in the beerathon. Hve you considered Wilanow stary there are two karczma's and you have the Palace as well I would think it will be more of a memorable place than pub lolek. you could always arrange a boat to Zegrze from the Wisla below the old town to drop/pick you at one of the places there, which would be a nice day out.

just saw pub lolek online and on youtube.It didnt really tick the boxes to be honest ,but we didnt find anything else either. iknow what you mean about lolek , it definately would not inspire you . or would it leave a lasting memory of poland in your mind . I walked through old town , but didnt find anything suitable as i was on a time limit the same day,My fiance has not lived in poland for many years and has lost touch with such as nice place to go . The idea is to relax somewhere ,nice place , few beers , with family and friends also kid friendly if possible, with the option of food if you want . Looked at few places but they are very food orientated . kinda sit down menus which i dont really want .

i know some people will not want to go to far on the sunday (prob hangover from day before). old town would be ideal it the place was right .

Polish wedding - where to buy good beer?

Hello,

Looking to plan a Polish wedding in August 2018 near Wroclaw, would like to get some good Polish craft beers like Raduga, Ale Browar, Bojan etc. Any tips on where to buy them in bulk and quite cheap?

Also - any idea on quantity per person, wedding will be 50% English (beer drinkers mostly) and 50% Polish (presumably more on the vodka).

First, just make sure you've obtained a liquor license!

If you're in Warsaw this weekend, come to the Warsaw beer festival and meet the owners of those places.

If not you're not here, I'll be there on all three days and will be happy to speak to the owner of Artezan (I've known him for a few years, since the days when he used to drive his white van round Warsaw dropping barrels off at different bars).

Hi Harry, thanks - at the minute we're just trying to get a rough price per crate (or bottle) and if it's better to go direct to a brewer or to find a cash and carry.

I'm pretty sure that breweries can't sell directly to private individuals.

Are you after bottles only or could it be kegs?

I seem to remember that you need to have a licence to buy alcohol in bulk, especially if it's from the distributor or brewery. You can buy it from the cash and carry, but at a price that is pretty much identical to the supermarkets if you don't have the 'concession'.
