Polish men's expectations of dating?

I've started online dating recently and most of the men who approach me are polish. I've had dates and online chats but there have been a lot of crossed wires and it seems to be down to a clash of cultures. Most of them have been in Scotland for 4+ years and I just wasn't expecting there to be so many issues, for example how fast/slow we both think things should progress or socialising with my female friends.

They want slow while you prefer fast? Or the opposite? Coz you sound so mysterious....

Sorry they want things to move much too fast, imo. Like we're in a serious relationship because we went on 2 dates that went well.

Or only sending me a message online every couple of days so I think they're not interested and leave it. Then they're asking why I stopped talking to them. So both lol

That is good coz it means they are typical males, prospective good husbands and fathers. Besides, you should feel proud of making them move so fast, it is surely to your credit.


Forgive them coz most of them are very busy. Polish immigrants work hard in the UK to have enough money to satisfy demanding local females.

They seem to take it as a sign that I'm looking for someone else if I want to take things slowly though which is a bit insulting.

Is it normal in polish culture to want to see to someone every single day when dating??

To see to sb/sth means to watch over, supervise. Is it what you want to discuss? This would introduce a new problem, quite contradictory to the earlier ones . You know, it is a bit puzzling: are you worried about seeing to sb every day or sending a message every couple of days?
