Not that chauvinism per se makes sense so in fact reinforcing your yes.

There are no strict patterns, a lot depends on individual.

I'd say so too, however you are more likely to find it than in Northern Europe. It isn't insignificant that on International Women's Day, some men actually give flowers!!

Mancun, while doing your homework I would like to offer you a BASIC 'pattern' to watch for in a future partner.
"Watch and observe how he treats and talks about his own mother."
More likely then not he will treat you the same identical way weather it be lovingly and respectful or rude and mannerless.
Observe your girlfriends men and see if what I say isn't true.
That would be the first step I would tell my daughter to take in her search for a "Keeper".
