Are Polish girls forced to marry by their parents?
No...
common sense will tell you the answer is ... No
shouldn't this guy supposed be already suspended?
its her parents and relatives that keep asking her

master
Are you a teaher or a teacher?
You sure don't know how to write properly in english. You sound muslim or something, because that's how marriages are there.

I think Poland has probably changed a bit since the 1850's...
don't get me wrong...
what do you expect from people here? to take serious life decisions for you? aren't you mature enough to take it yourself? you keep asking strange questions..
if you don't want to marry that girl- don't do it.

Maybe there is a strong expectation like there is in Japan. 30 seems to be the age where, if they are not married, their families may look unfavourably upon that. My friend Yoko was 31 and her parents frowned upon her for not being married. She is an obasan (grandmother) in Japanese eyes. Be thankful that Poland does have an arranged marriage culture like Japan has.
There will always be pressure from the social unit known as the family. We also have to see where they are coming from and try and accept that the pressure is a little stronger here. Also, it's not like we are not pressured back home either (if you are a Brit).

All parents in the world do that. People like to be copied, doesn't matter right or wrong, they just don't want to be alone between the gears of this economical system on the earth. So, these kinds of marriages are a forced thing all over the world. If you were from poor Tanzania, they wouldn't want her daughter marry to you.

I dont think its totally unjust.
My cousin was married with the son of my mother's friend. Ofcourse they were encouraged to know each other.... but the scenario was more of arranged kind of. Non of the two ppl were dating others or really very active in that dept (more of an introvert kind).
They are one of the most happiest couples I have seen.
Sometimes when family ties and the dynasty itself is reasonably strong... such things may happen...and they are not unwelcome at all.
Its not like 'Either you marry whom I tell you, or you die!'... its just preparing a platform by the people who love you!... A platform which maybe many ppl would love to have themselves.

It's a big difference between suggestion that you can marry a person, and saying that you should marry her/him.

Exactly :)
Truth is that polish women have a thing for getting married, women really need it, it is social pressure or the need to take away all the freedom from men... something along the lines.
If a woman is not married by 23 years of age, she is worried and becomes almost very desperate

The most absurd was when I was asked by a polish girl to marry her and her friend. So much pressure.Unbelievable.

anyways, it's pretty obvious looking at all your posts that they are all just trolling, which indicates there was no thinking at all prior to sending them..

Don't you think the pressure has decreased a little in the last 10-15 years? Of course it depends on where in Poland you live (city/countryside) and what kind of family you are from. These days there are very many young Poles who don't get married before 25.
I was asked by a polish girl to marry her and her friend
I've never heard of a Polish girl that feels a pressure to share a man with another girl.
Yeah, in Japan they exchange photos to scope out potential partners. It's a very odd way of doing it.
To nie prawda! Dlaczego tyle ludzi pisze zle o Polakach!? I jeszcze jedno pytanie-dlaczego tyle glupich zartow o nas !?
That's not true! Why so many people write bad about Polish people? And one more question, "Why so many stupid jokes about us?!"

Of course they are! For example during this harsh winter, parents use to make igloo-like buildings with steel bars. Then parents lock there their disobedient daughters and wait till they grow wise. It is obvious that poor girls start to dream about knight on white horse, and of course sometimes some brave man with long spear crushes this glacial jail ;-)
One should remeber, that some girls aren't that lucky. Some of them froze to death, or oh horror, instead of white knights on white horses with long spears, white polar bears are crushing the igloo and taking poor girls as a juicy meal.
PS. The rumour is, that a few years ago in the east of Poland some village people saw even a big red dragon with a star on the head, who was trying to break some igloo with hook and hammer. But girl inside of an igloo had some poison in blood and the dragon exploded after eating to much snow.

I was wondering what was up with all those igloos along the side of the highway. I'll drop throw some bread out of the car next time I pass (should be good for some positive karma).
Be careful, because some enterprising women with not ortodox moral code are using those igloos as a trap for not cautious man. You may have to pay for your own bread twice ;-)

Convex, jwojcie you guys are just unbelievable:D:D:D
Seriously, I think that SzwedwPolsce is right. Althought in my case I was almost forced. My family is one of the respected families in my region and my marriage would be just a business. Thanks to God I moved out with my parents, so they are more easy going right now. I'm still not allow to date, but am optimistic about the future. Am also grateful that things like this don't happen that often in our country.
