Polish boyfriend and swearing

My polish boyfriend never swears in front of me. But when his friends are around, if they swear in my presence he gets really angry with them even if it's just minor words. I have told him that I understand that men swear and if they want to its fine, but he won't have it at all. He says to them no swear she when he's angry. Is this usual?

Sounds like a respectable guy. Yes, this is a normal custom. This would be an "old custom," in the US.

No. It shouldn't make a difference. It sounds like he cares, especially if he goes out of his way to hush them or correct them.

Maybe. But the fact that he shuts his friends up shows he cares. I know a lot of guys who swear and couldn't care less what their women feel which bothers me. If he's considerate, he cares.

He has manners. I like this guy's way. Hard to find Americans with manners these days.
