and im Jordanian

My sister was there once and she saw loads of gays on the streets and holding hands, apparently they need to provide everything for future wife and many of them can not efford it and this pushes them to homosexuality... sad :-(

there's only one street to see such thing. Y she left all of the streets and went to this one.
Gayness is forbidden in this country...

I think in Poland you have a lot of gayz...right??

I lived in Agadir in Morocco for 8 months back in 1999, and many of the men walk around holding hands and even greet each other with a kiss, but they are not gay, it is just part of their culture.

The strange thing was that if I walked down the street with my girlfriend holding hands and the Police saw us, they would use their batons to separate us by striking our hands.

It is a lot more relaxed now as more holidaymakers are spending time there, but I guess if you still go to the small villages you will still find this practice going on.

Interesting step. I think it should not be a punishable offense.... but treated as a quarentinable illness... and given proper care and attention....medicationa nd phsychological treatment...etc

The same situation is valid for Turkey as well. But not for Russia and Kazakhstan.

Hi,

I am a Turkish man and I confirm 'some' Turkish straight males do walk arm-in-arm.

Personally I do not like this practice and never did so, but would like to clarify that it is not about sexual preference at all. As much as I observed mostly people from backwards places do that; I was born and raised in Istanbul and it was/is not a common practice in my home city in general.

Male kissing another male on the cheek as a friendly/informal greeting is much more common overall in Turkey. We don't do that in business greetings for example but between family & friends that is considered normal (and again not related to sexual preference at all).

My girlfriend's name Agnieszka too, I like the sound of it. Apparently a very common name between Polish ladies in the UK (and on Skype).

Unfortunately most Britons can't get the pronouncation correct in less than 10 minutes that she finds it more practical to give her name as Agnes when booking a minicab etc.

Gayness is forbidden in this country...

Is that true? I think one of my friends from Jordan is a closeted homosexual, but we've talked about it and he says that homosexuality is kind of fine there. What do you mean by "forbidden"?
