I know this Polish women/girl at school, we were on the subway tonight
I kept falling a sleep but decided to stare at her.. most of the time it was by accident... but I DID FIND HER attractive and decided to stare anyway, then dozed off on the train for a bit.
She was next to someone talking noticed staring from her too, at the time, and she rubbed her nose! But when she left when i decided to look again she rubbed her nose again!
what does this mean?
she rubbed/ touched her nose, just so you know.
What does poland superstitions mean, like what are they?
well I find her attractive and that can not be it.... because I was dozing off on the train it was a long day for me. But i kept waking up and it was not intentional and first and caught her staring at me, she was next to her guy friend and some girl friend... so no. I did not think he nose was big, I never hound peoples noses.
Yes. This is an old polish traditional from our years and years of being occupied, we couldn't always talk to soldiers in the occupying so we would rub our nose when foreigners were interested in us when we wanted to make their babies.
Well I do not know polish sayings and stuff because looking at me back and fourth like that.. she did it twice before she left to get off subway and previous when I was dozing off and waking up not really sleeping.
Well I understand what you mean p3undone. But that is certainly nice on that subway. The subways where I live are better looking sleeker longer. It was a rapid transit bus pretty much it is a mix of subway like carts and bus. So not subway really, it is rapid transit, and where is subway located at to be exact?
I do not live in Poland btw.... i merely asked about the woman and culture. I can be from England, South Africa, America, Germany, Mars, take your pick. We have a lot of native Polish Women and polish Women who are immigrants and not immigrants raised here.. so most likely they know the culture.
So yeah if there is a polish immigrant most likely they know the culture, and their future kids will know it, since polish like a lot of cultures are strict and stick to each other, the children then will have the history of the family and decide to mix with what was shown in the picture at the top, or other backgrounds, or with other people. I know in New york they do... not that I live there.
I'm from Poland and I've never heard of this kind of thing. Trust me, she really didn't mean anything by that. She was probably getting shy from you looking at her. I hope it helped :)
