dwor-kruszow.pl/kontakt.php

We went to a different place I wouldn't recommend, because of the owners. The above really impressed us but was too small. The owner was excellent and it looked fabulous.

Bethany, give that it is your husband to be who is insisting on the wedding being in Poland (which, by the way, is not traditional for Polish people, the bride's home town is the location for weddings) and he is the only one of you who speaks English, is there a reason that he isn't taking the lead on finding locations, sorting out paperwork, etc etc? Some Polish men are used to having mothers who do everything for them and can easily fall back into that behaviour with their wives, even when the jobs are ones that they should be doing themselves.

Quite bizarre H, Bethany from her posts seems not to have a clue regarding legal requirements and wedding venues in PL, either B is a control queen or future hubby is not so into the idea of wedding bells.

I have to disagree with you there: it's entirely possible that future hubby sees wedding planning as 'woman's work' and/or not something that should interfere with his time drinking Tyskie with the lads, wouldn't you say?

this is very true im the one in the house who does all the "woman jobs" when we go to poland and stay with his mum she does everything... yes he wants me to sort it all... all he wants to do is sort his suit and the vodka ...

wouldn't you say?

There are plenty of men in PL who are more interested in drinking than doing that's a fact. Getting things done in Poland is never easy unless you know the rules and language that's what I would say. For a Pole there will always be many ways to get things done in PL, for a foreigner the prices will always be higher and the conditions less flexible.

Whenever my wife and I are doing any form of research in PL for prices, we only communicate in Polish and in my wife's maiden name. The last thing we want the seller to know is we are Brit/Pol.

When you find a new home make sure you don't get one with a garage.

So tell him that if he wants the wedding in Poland, he has to sort it out, you will take care of your dress and make-up & hair (by flying your make-up artist and hairdresser out to Poland). If he insists you sort out the wedding, you will sort it out where you are able to sort it out: in the UK. For one thing, you lack the language skills to organise a wedding in Poland.

Also, when it comes to Polish men, you have to put your foot down hard and often: if you start your married life like this, he'll be treating you like a servant every day for the rest of his life.

for a foreigner the prices will always be higher and the conditions less flexible.

100% right.

I guess this is what you can expect then Bethany...

Bethany, don't forget about the Polish country traditions for the wedding day

How are you planning to sort all this out, if you don't speak Polish? Some places will speak English, of course, but not everyone, and certainly not in the offices (also, the priest is more likely to speak Latin than English, we had a massive problem in finding one in one of the biggest Polsih cities).

And the guys are right about the prices, they will give you a higher price just because they think you might pay more.
Plus, your fiance doesn't seem like a very nice guy, forgive me for saying this...

I can speck a little polish but not very well ..

As a black woman in rural Poland it may be a little different bethanyxx. People are not so much racist, although they are not so accepting.
