Tribute to Stanisław Lem (12 September 1921 - 27 March 2006) one of the greatest S-F writers that ever lived.

Hard to say... I really liked "Niezwyciężony" and "Solaris", but everything he writes is just great.

I heartily recommend Lem's book "Return From The Stars". It presents an incredibly interesting vision of a pharmacologically emasculated world, and it has a good plot.

I'm working on a celebration of the shorter work of Stanisław Lem. Which three stories/pseudo-essays would you rate as your all time favourites?

I wish could answer you but I've only read his novels in English translation. I never saw a collection of his short stories in English even at my university library. Perhaps the Cyberiad could be considered a collection of short stories.

I read everything what Lem had on the cover. Although it was long time ago, and I liked everything what he wrote, I would recommend the most famous collection of short stories - The Cyberiad.

But when you fall in Lem's world and you like to be there, there's no way out - you have to read everything.
