Honestly, if those pencils were in front of me like that, I would HAVE to move the blue one to the end of the line, straighten it, then make the big space it created conform to the spaces of the other pencils....

...yes it bothers me....

- loud
- rude
- look down on poles
- conceited/cocky
- the usual, nazis

Hobbes, I have a question about your point, 5) Cultural Regression - germans think polish culture is backwards? Care to explain?

I would HAVE to move the blue one to the end of the line,

There is the difference. In Canada, we would move the blue pencil to the front of the line.

:-)

You all are looked upon as extremely conservative, and not very smart. (lol conceited/cocky and look down on poles works here), and basically our Great Federal Republic that is Germany advances in everything, while you all advance in nothing.

We have advancements in Cars, Music, Science, and Military

While you guys have what?

That's the stereotype.

We usually forget about Copernicus, Pope John Paul II, Jerzy Petersburski, FSO/FSM, etc.

ShawnH
NEIN, you must put ze non-vhite vone ins ze BAK OF ZE LEIN!! Not ze same color!!! SIEG HEIL!

subconscious racism.

Racism of different sorts on both parts. If Lodz-the-boat were here, he would probably put the rest of the pencils in disarray, just to make the blue pencil feel comfortable.
McCoy  27 | 1268

hehehe, yeah. the truth is the blue pencil just wants to get the reds money for free and get to their sharpeners holes. i would simply get rid of the blue bastard (;

i would simply get rid of the blue bastard (;

And in Canada, we would feel sorry for the blue pencil, and invite all of the pencils originally in the case with the blue one to come over and keep him company. We would make sure that he is sharp at all times and provide him with sharpeners that come with instructions that can be clearly understood by a blue pencil.

ok, stereotypes about Germans in podkarpcie:

- clean
- organized
- they are good at football (although maily thanks to the players of Polish descent :P)
- they produce good cars
- drink a lot of beer and eat German sausages
- rich
- educated
- boring
- polite old people, naughty youth
- they hate Poles
- always in conspiracy with Russia against Poland
- Erika Steinbach is a typical German.

and we shouldn't forget about the famous Polish saying : go to Germany your car is there already.

Some German stereotypes I encountered...

1. boring, no sense of humour
2. no personal culture at the table (like burping, farting while eating etc. etc.)
3. inbred hatred of Poles
4. their women are ugly
5. they think they're the best in the World

Number one is contradicted on this board by BB :)
Number two is no longer valid ever since British tourists started coming to Poland
and we got some comparison :)
Number three is what my grandfather told me, so it has to be true :)
Number four is completely untrue (I know this from my personal experience he he :)).
Number five... well... ;)

Stereotypes about the Germans...Well, we as Dutch have plenty of them :)

- loud
- always in groups and then even louder
- refuse to speak Dutch and start speaking immediately in German
- they are all fat and drink beer all the time (their beer is very good though)
- they come and invade/occupy our beaches: nothing has changed in 70 years
- girls are oversexed
- take up all the space wherever they go and claim it as their own
- we have a joke about them: what is the smalles book in history? Answer: "The History of German Humor" (others are: "French Militairy Victories" and "A History of the Italian Militairy Power")

...to name but a few :)

Pope John Paul II

He's not seen as a hero everywhere, mind you! You forget your main figures: Chopin and Sosabowski, anybody?

3) Football Cavemen (can't play it)

And this is not true? :)

>^..^<

M-G (I will not comment on the cultural regression)

Hey BB:

You meant surely "goosestepping"! ;)

Surely, you meant "goosestepping".
That would be the correct usage of the English language.
