I have no idea what I should bring home to everyone. I hate getting things that just sit on a shelf so I was thinking Polish specialty items, like chocolates or other goodies. Does anyone have any ideas?

I like to bring spice mixes and kitchen utensils for making local foods...but I'm a bit of a dork like that.

Lots and lots of Amber, and some of the great wood carvings. These are a few of the things I bring back, and all love them.

haha, I looked up the meaning... didn't help. Luckily there was a thread about them. I don't think I could pull off bringing that through customs, let alone getting on the plane. lol good one.

Hi. Where can I get some small souvenirs made in Poland in Warsaw? Please suggest a few places and address if possible. Thanks

The most widely known source for folk art and souvenirs is Cepelia:

It might be a terrible thing to say but there are always some souvenir shops at the airport ...

If you are looking for a brick-amd-mortar store, the Cepelia shop in Warsaw is on the corner of Marszalkowska and Jeruzalimskie, across from the central train station.

Solidarność Śliwka Nałęczowska. Plums in chocolate. Always a winner. Make sure they are made by this company. Some of the cheaper knock-offs are very inferior.
