This is also Polish, but when I was a kid it was every Sunday afternoon on TV, first the German TV, later on on the Dutch TV as well:

Bolek i Lolek :) Or is it Lolek i Bolek? In NL they said Lolek en Bolek.

M-G (loves Lolek en Bolek)

Oh, oh do you know Reksio?

Miś Uszatek is liked in Japan. Japan version here:

MG How about Czech cartoon "Krecik" did you know that also in Holland?

Yes we had, at least when I was a kid I watched it every Sunday afternoon :)

We also had Reksio, although we called it Rexje or Rexio, but that's just a minor difference in spelling.

Probably, as we also could watch a lot of Czech animations on German TV. I was born and raised near the German border, that's why we always could receive German TV, also before there was cable, just a little antenna on the roof - we in fact could receive more German channels than Dutch channels, but that was just because there were more public German channels than Dutch ones at the time :P

ha! Observed my cousing watching it. It came back to me some time ago but couldn't recall its title. I knew it used to be maths freaks favour, a bit loopy and paranoid to me, perhaps, because of a language barrier. But still, it must be running strong as a cullic theme among polish peops in the UK as so many of them wear those puffy camisoles even these days:D love it, though

Oh no! Pi and Sigma... I hated it... it was most psychodelic kids programme I was watching those times!

The fun thing with Lolek en Bolek and Rexje was that every kid all across the world could enjoy it...They don't speak actually, they just make sounds that every child everywhere understands. Yet they don't seem to have broadcasted it in the UK or Ireland as nobody I know seems to remember it.

Btw, I heard that the creator of Lolek en Bolek later on got into a nasty copyright court case. A shame! This guy who made so many children across Central/North-West Europe should get the payments he was due!

You Polish kids probably know this Dutch cartoon as well:
...

Invented by singer Herman van Veen, it became popular world wide. Don't tell me you've never seen it as a kid if you're in your twenties and early thirties :)

His original name is Alfred Jodocus Kwak, but in Poland he was called Alfred Jonatan Kwak .

Pszczółka Maja (Maya the Honey Bee):

Actually, it was Czech and yes, I remember that as my younger brother always watched it. Die Biene Maya and it was presented on German TV as a Czech animation movie.

Alfred J. Kwak's tune is indeed very well known; the original (Dutch) lyrics go a little sth like this:

"Ik ben vandaag zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk.
Ik ben vandaag zo vrolijk, zo vrolijk was ik nooit."

The rest of the lyrics would be too difficult for a non-Dutch person.

No, no. Its Czech.

Did you guys have a Polish version of Sesame Street?

yes but very late. My generation was watching American version from the 80s (in Poland broadcasted in the early 90s). It was voicedovered so I learnt alphabet and numbers in english :)))
