A blue moon is an additional full moon that appears in a subdivision of a year: either the third of four full moons in a season, or a second full moon in a month of the common calendar.

Apparently it will be well visible from Syria.

Haven't heard of any volcanic eruptions in Europe today or large fires, but most of the media have forecast a blood red moon in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I heard if you buy some yoghurt and put it on your head, the moon will appear to be blue :P

No, seriously...I heard midnight, but who knows if it's real.

In my area the clouds screening the moon are reddish:

They look good!
Mine look similar but without as much detail on the moon itself.
Couldn't upload mine but guessing I might have to re-size them.

Thanks. I'm not sure why I couldn't make a sharper picture.
With the same equipment (APSC and cheap 55-300 mm) I shot sharp pictures of the moon with camera handheld years ago.
This time I hand a stand with me.
Maybe an issue with the lens.
