I recently attended the Poland v Scotland football match and had a fantastic time in Poland. Polish people mostly are fantastic and very welcoming, unfortunately I witnessed first hand women and children having their flags stolen by street vermin. Now I am not the violent type on one occasion I apprehended two of the cowards in action they did not fight back just melted away into the crowd. In Scotland we have a great respect for Poles for many centuries our countries have been intertwined, the Polish army defended the east coast of Scotland during the second world war. We also welcomed your young workers after 2004.
Now I understand from my research the stealing of trophies from visiting teams is sport in Poland, the so called hooligans class it it as ''dog hunting" the Scots fans attending the away games are mostly families and groups from small towns they are not hooligans or 'Celtic' fans. When Poland play Scotland in October 2015 I would like to see a party atmosphere with Scots and Poles celebrating their history and culture.
If the Polish hools burn the 'Saltire" their so called trophy flags at the match what will follow will be a blood bath with many Polish innocent fans being caught up in the mayhem. Scottish football fans respect Poland and its people "Return the flags" to the women and children you stole them from and show the solidarity between our nations which has existed for centuries.
