check the definition. Maf. England and Wales, for example, are different nations. They have different official languages. If you don't believe me, tell a Welsh person he is English.

There's more than one definition, I use the one used by Philip Bobbit (roughly) that is about the relationship between the government and the people:

The government provides services for the population to improve their standards of living (infrastructure, education, legal protections etc)
The population supports the government and when the government calls for it - makes sacrifices for the common good (including going to war)

This model came into being with the nation state (and non-ethnic-based nations adopted it because of its utility).

When people talk now about the death of the nation state they're talking about the death of this model (see the English government increasingly withdrawing from providing public services).

I read about that one which was mainly catering to Indians,Also I suspect the same is happening in Poland mostly catering to South Asians.Little crummy office in a office building registerd as a university/school/college to get student visas for which agents are making millions of euros in Poland.

Judging by the stuff posted this weekend, you're bang on the money. The only interesting thing is that they've all got one thing in common - none of them live in Poland.

I visited Gdansk for a week in 2017, and I'm a Sikh. Must say that the city treated my entire family wonderfully. Perhaps because my skin is white, perhaps because I'm an American, or perhaps that I tried to use as much Polish as I could pronounce.

My beard is white, and my back very slightly bent, yet had I been attacked by five or less they would have had a bad day! (Sikhs are a warrior, yet peaceful, people.) Still, this never happened. The Poles I met were more than friendly, of going out of their way to assist in any way.

Your experience is not unusual.
Poles are generally polite and welcoming if perhaps a little cold.
Asian holidaymakers in places like Prague may be targeted by criminals.
But Poland is pretty safe.

I was warned NOT to ask a Pole "How are you?" lest you hear their entire life's story. It seems to be true! Being a people-watcher, I loved this! It also seems true of Polish veteran and serving police officers. (BTW: Are all female police officers in Poland as stunningly beautiful as those I met in Gdansk? I feared my sons would fight just to be arrested by them!)
