Hello.

I'm a university student in Poland.
Actually my phone was broken so I wanna get another phone.
One of my friends will send me a phone and battery.
So is that ok??
Can't I pay for tariff??

And I wanna get cigarette from my country.
Maybe I wanna receive about 20~30 cigarette packs.
Is that also ok??

I'm really looking forward to reply, Please.

Bye.

From what country and what value?

And more to the point, why not just buy a phone in Warsaw? You can get brand new ones at Saturn for under 100zl.

Providing you pay the appropriate excise duty.

But there is a much cheaper way to get cigarettes in Warsaw. Though not as cheap as stopping smoking.

BTW, which country are you from?

I'm from South Korea.
Actually the phone is smartphone.
and I know that cigarette is cheap in Warsaw.
but Korean cigarette is cheaper than Polish one.
For the reason, I'll do that.
When I saw one of website, they said that 60 packs of cigarette are ok to pass the customs.
I'm still wondering this matter.

If you recieve cigarettes via post you will probably have to pay tax and duty on them. Also, maybe on the phone, but make sure its compatible with Poland's phone system as Korean phones are quite different.

I'm so sorry to ask again, Is that correct information?
Actually in several countries, sending cigarettes by post for approximately 10 packs is ok especially in Japan, Austrailia, etc.
Because that's my experiences.
Although the phone was used, I must pay for tax??
That's not new one, just used phone.
And I wanna receive only 1 phone that is used for 5 month in Korea.
So I don't understand the policy in Poland.

The law on customs and duty is complicated. You will have to send it and see what happens

Yes you must pay tax, about 30% of the value (and you must be able to prove the value).

You can have cigarettes posted in but you'll have to pay tax on them too (more than 30%).
