Political correctness in Poland

We should protect the weakest among us. Kids are a good example.
There is a point where protection is not only not needed, like letting a 35-year-old lazy bum linger in his parents' basement, but actually harmful. Like the affirmative action. Or when we deny the obvious and factually true not to hurt feeling as is the case with suppressing the migrant crime data in Sweden and here.

This kind of political correctness kills and, therefore, is immoral, if not outright criminal. Only because the US government cannot be sued, it is not being sued for all the crimes the illegals have caused but the sanctuary idiots remain silent about it. Fox is the only politically incorrect place where such things are discussed and where the illegal scum is called illegal, not "undocumented".

Every single post in this thread for the last two pages, since Johnny resurrected it (it's seven years old and five years since anyone posted in it, for God's sake) has been about America. If American posters want to discuss the problems of American society, then why don't they open a thread about it in Off-Topic? The old 'it might happen in Poland too' is wearing very thin as an excuse to talk about American issues.

PC in Poland, most likely is less fine-tuned than here in the States, or in Germany for that matter. I've gleaned this from reading Polish journals from Poland daily, such as "Rzeczpospolita", "Gazeta Wyborcza" and other such papers of the educated set.

Anybody can point fingers of partisanism, but they reflect a liberal mind.

It should not. Rather, it should be a warning. Just as Poland allowed McDonalds and KFC in to make Poles sicker and fatter, Poland is just as likely to accept other forms of American poison, like the political correctness, "tolerance", abortion on demand, and all kinds of perversions as "normal".

What's perverted, pray, about tolerance, Rich? Did I honestly miss something in your post or was I seeing things? Please straighten me out here!

Political correctness is a "foreign matter" in Poland. Either a public statement/opinion about given social/racial group is true or it's false.

If the opinion is true then nobody cares about your hurt feelings but if it is false then the person accusing or throwing an insult can and should expect repercussions.

Unless it involves the Catholic Church or the government, in which case, you can expect to be prosecuted.

True enough, Delph!

As the German-speaking world for centuries was bound solely by her German mother tongue, Poland for nearly the same length of time always sought, indeed found, unconditional refuge in her Catholic faith.

Poles may joke about plenty both in public, even in private, Catholic dogma though is still strictly OFF LIMITS, especially to foreigners:-)

Religious matters are always a subject of controversy in any given society. And even when the society is almost completely atheist like France, the taboo subjects still exist. You can't say certain things because you will be ostracized and/or punish by a legal system. You can call that a modern PC 'religion'

Erm, have you heard of 'Kler', the movie they just put out in Poland, viciously attacking the Catholic church and almost everything about it? Believe me, the Catholic church isn't off limits to criticise in Poland. Just turn on TVN or pick up a copy of Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper.

Bingo !
That is why one of our most precious rights in America is the Freedom of Speech which is not afforded in Poland and the rest of the E.U.

Here guys, this explains it better then I can.
Skip down to the fourth paragraph where it starts with the E.U. media blackout on politically incorrect news that has made it extremely difficult for Europeans to understand the mess that they are in.

Were it not for social media, Europeans would have little grasp of the extent of Muslim immigration and the resultant high crime rate.
Which is why the European thought police are now cracking down on the incorrect use of the Internet.

Numerous people have been arrested and or fined even for pointing out facts. W Europeans live in a world where telling the truth is punished. In Poland there are limits on free speech like you cant say certain things about the holocaust. But atleast its not like germany uk sweden france etc where pointing out a statistic about migrant crimes and rapes results in a knock on the door from the thought crime department.

Theres many things i dont like about the usa. But freedom of speech, press, right to bear arms, protect your home at all costs, etc are things i really cherish. If europeans had those same rights things would be much better and people wouldnt be so scared to say things that arent pc and in some cases illegal.

Couldn't put it any better. A country without the 1st Amendment is a camp, or at least a very bad joke. In Europe, with my big mouth, I would be serving more than for murder.

Never again.

Have I ever heard of "Kler", he asks?

The "Nowy Dziennik" along with other conservative publications practically ripped it to shreds, claiming the expected leftist bias which hates all things devoutly Christian.
Haven't seen it yet. Oddly enough, I saw "Ida" shortly after it came out and the Polish press was appreciative of Polish filmmakers trying to set the record straight.

You know not only conservative publications exist in Poland right? I am sure that left wing ones praised the heck out of it.

Spilling the "truth" might be healthy for the truth spiller, yet most on either side don't wish to accept the truth as it's presented.

Ask Tommy Robinson for the details.

And off to a Commie jail he goes.

Yup endanger your whole squad so one dude can take off his boots in the middle of a mission to pray. Sounds about right. No wonder comments are disabled...

Darwin at work: stupid die first. Good.
Lyzko  41 | 9671
23 Oct 2018 /  #83
Darwin was right though. Pity his ideas had to be corrupted by the misguided followers of Sir Herbert Spencer, whose "social Darwinism" was later used to

justify Faschism as the inherent rights of the survival of those deemed more "fit" than others, hence blithely leaving G-d out of the entire equation.
Velund  1 | 507
23 Oct 2018 /  #84
This is not an equation, just a part in a braces. There is much more similar parts. And G-d is a coefficient right out of each brace.

I don't mind "social Darwinism" if it benefits me. Can you image what the world would be now if the post-Columbus invaders said, oops, sorry, and went back?

Social Darwinism isnt a good thing for west europeans.. their naivety and foolishness precisely why theyre going to become a minority in their own country very soon, in some cases they already are in their capitals and major cities. The migrants are running a proverbial train on them, and a literal one on quite a few as well

Social Darwinism isnt a good thing for west europeans..

Then, maybe they should become extinct and as irrelevant as the "Native Americans". After all, the very worst things and -isms came from Europe. We just had to be their clean-up crew and bodyguards.

As much as it may be gratifying and fun showing them how stupid and suicidal they are, you can't push a wet noodle or make Mississippi flow back.

Most of it from Germany to be precise. First Marxism, then Leninism (Germans has sent Lenin with his comrades and with money in a special train to Russia to start the revolution to eliminate Russia from WWI) and then of course Nazism

First Marxism, then Leninism

And the UK sheltered Marx after he was exiled from his homeland because of his revolutionary ideas and gave him the freedom to develop and spread his theories. If you blame Germany for Leninism, you have to blame the UK for Marxism.
