2300 PLN is enough for living in Krakow, Poland?

Hi,

I am going to live in Krakow. My salary would be 4700 PLN, and I found a nice apartment for 2400 PLN (bills are included).
So I will have 2300 PLN for living, is it enough to have a good life? How much is the average cost of living for a month/one person?

Thank you for the advice!

I assume 4700PLN is net after taxes?
Either way, 2400PLN is waaay to much to spend on an apartment with that salary!

I suggest you take and apartment for nothing more than 1500PLN all included. Then you will have 3200 to live/save for.

With 2300PLN per month you will live quiet comfortable considering you cook at home most of the time, and don't party too hard.

But my experience is better to spend less on your apartment. Summer is also coming up, so you'll be outside/at work most of the time.

Also the apartment must be quiet (very nice) for the price of 2400PLN.

Yes, 4700 PLN is net.

Well, I have my reasons to rent that apartment for that price, but thanks for the suggestion.

Absolutely no problem, off course you should have it the way you like this was just from own experience :-)

Yes I guess :) Honestly I found cheaper apartments too but they were sooo miserable... so I deceided to spend more but to have a nice environment and not just a 28 sqm hole.

Could you tell me approx. how much is that you really need to spend in a month for food (just for home cook), washing powder, etc... so the minimum for living? How much is for example internet or mobile subscription?

Yes I understand, but I had a very nice apartment in the city center 55sqm high standard furnished etc. it cost me 1900ZL per month all inclusiv, so I'm just trying to help you with not getting ripped off ;-)

Regarding cost of living I am the wrong person to ask as I never cook etc.
But I live very comfortable for 3000ZL per month, so I am sure you can live rather well on 2300.

Internet is around 80ZL per month, and mobile subscription is the same. You will have to sign a 24 month contract though.
Alternatively you can use prepaid both internet and cell phone, price depends on your usage.

Hmmm ok, so do you know some agency who can find some aparment for cheaper? I already talked to a bunch of them, and they had only between 1700-2000 for rental, cheaper were just 28 sgm studios or so.

No no no, try first of all Gumtree.pl open it with google chrome and use the automatic translater at the top of the page.

Secondly look up Hamilton May and Leach and lang, these 2 I can recommend.

See few examples here:

Extremely good location and offer:

Also good and cheaper than the other, also amazing location:

I have several others open, its easy to find good apartments on there.

Remember you can always negotiate the price for both the rent and also for the commission to the real estate agency.

Oferty.net

2300zl a month. You will not have much fun. Minimum to enjoy life is Polska after tax and rent/credit is 4000zl.
I have lived in Poland and my wife and I spent about 5 to 6000zl a month.

Hmmm
But those offers you you sent are all inclusive around 2200-2300 also :D
just rental fee is not high, but there is expensive gas or electrical heating system.

For 2 rooms flat in city center in good standard you need to spend around 2000 PLN.

Yes, exactly and it's not so easy to find flats like this with english speaking owner.. so 2200-2300 is minimum you have to spend!

but in general 4500 for living whole month is enough.
