Does Magic Jack work in Poland?

Has anyone used Magic Jack to allow telephone to work on the internet connection in Poland and does it work well?

I use magicjack all the time in poland,its works fine when you have internet.I have used it while travelling also everywhere in europe(spain,uk,france,germany,italy,amsterdam,etc).I carry a regulay phone set and also use it where there is wifi like most Mcdonalds have free wifi,to make calls to states and canada.the best device to call landlines and cell phones in usa,canada and recieve calls ..if missed you get email notification also for 18$ a year unlimited.

It does work, but to be honest MagicJack Call not reliable sometimes people can't hear you.
1- You can't use your computer and be on the phone at the same time, because it gets choppy audio.
2- Poor voice quality.
3- It freezes all the time..
My suggestion buy a OBi202 VoIP Phone Adapter in Amazon, it Works with Google Voice for FREE calls to the USA ,Canada and international..

For people that do not know what is MagicJack? is a small device that allows you to make Internet phone calls for cheap prices..

Why? Skype is free. Yesterday, from Poland, I spoke to my former students in London, Norway and Georgia (the country, not the state) for hours and it didn't cost me a dime.

Sound quality is excellent, and video usually works fine, too.

Truth no doubt!! Skype is my second option too, but if you're looking free landline for your home OBi202 VoIP is the way to go why?

1 - Pay only once for the device.
2 - Computer not required.
3 - Work with Google Voice or any VoIP providers in the world.

You said you spoke with your students for hours right? I guess of front of the computer, because OBi202 VoIP adapter is built-in router you don't need PC to talk..

Merged: MagicJack in Poland - will it work without registration?

If I buy magicJack (or Vonage) in US and send to my girlfriend in Krakow can she set it up there or does it require that registration is in US?

(She has Internet - Yahoo)

Get the magicjack. It will be easier to get it registered in the U.S. before it is sent over. Chances are, she could get it registered over there, but she would need a credit card with enough money on it to cover the cost of the subscription and for the number and the exchange rate.
