Please help, my dog has been stolen in the UK and has possibly been taken to Poland. Does anyone know of any animal welfare places or contacts that I could contact to help me find him? Hope I've posted in the right place! Thankyou for any help

Sorry for your loss.

It will be hard to find him if you don't know a place where your dog was taken.

Here you have the Society of Animal Defence of the Republic of Poland website which is a member Eurogroup of Animals - european branch of animal welfare organisation.

I'm not sure though how they might help you, but it wouldn't hurt to try..

Maybe addreses of specific breed unions in Poland would be useful.

There aren't. Why do you think there are?

Is your dog a special breed?

Post #912 in the bin will answer that.
I feel your pain as pets become family.
It won't do any good now however for your next pet you may check into
a gps chip to be inserted under it's skin.
Technology now offers it so you can track your pets location up to 25 miles
by using your cell phone. Accurate within ten feet.
Does anyone know if this technology is offered in Poland yet ?
(Chip not to be glued in the seam of your boyfriends wallet.)

Yes, they have microchips for pets in PL.

A breeders's association might be a help in tracking the dog down.

Yes, they have microchips for pets in PL.

There are two kinds, one that when the pet is scanned by a Vet or animal control officer
shows the owners name, address and vaccination history, the other is an actual GPS locator
used with your cell phone to track your pets location that just came out recently.
Took my buddy awhile to figure out how his wife knew everytime he was at the Casino.
