Why foreigners in Poland do not respect Poland's culture and traditions?

Tor
14 Sep 2013 /  #1
Is that because majority of Poles do not know or do not respect those tradition and culture either? Maybe Poles themselves believe that those traditions and culture is worthless and Poland i somehow behind western societies?

Maybe foreigners in Poland are just arrogant knobs with no respect for anything but fist.
Maybe leniency and hospitality Poles extend to foreigners lull them into the false sense of self-importance and they simply do not care about Polish culture and traditions.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say about 'leniency', however you forget that most people who live in Poland and are born abroad are long-term settlers, not visitors or guests.

Now we have the EU, people can and do settle anywhere Poles are no exception to this (a million in the UK) and nor is Poland.

I'm not sure what are you talking about, the subject of this thread is respect not EU or whether or not foreigners can or not settle in Poland.

Examples?

A good example of personal insult and lack of respect is your post.

Fyi Poles do not extend hospitality to EU foreigners. These people live here, pay taxes, some of them (including me) vote in local and European elections.

Poles in my native Antwerp integrate far less in Belgium as Belgians here in Warsaw. But this you as a PolAm probably do not know :)

How would you know that, given that it is decades since you lived in Poland and years since you even visited?

These people live here, pay taxes, some of them (including me) vote in local and European elections.

I certainly do all of those things.

Why foreigners in Poland do not respect Polish culture and traditions?

Serbians respect

But after all, Serbs don`t feel like foreigners in Poland.

Is that your impression or result of a research? If that is the truth then it is just prove that Poles culture is more attractive for Belgians than Belgian culture for Poles.

Still taking you for an example and your post here you do not respect Polish culture and traditions.

Poles do not extend hospitality to EU foreigners.

Surly they do. Unfortunately Poles are welcoming to all kind of foreigners even to those whose do not deserve it.

debating subject of a thread

There's nothing there to debate. Your 'thread' is simply trolling.

You are only saying that because you now what you are doing ie you don't respect Polish culture and that is pretty evident here. Those questions are not trolling but legitimate questions.

Those questions are not trolling but legitimate questions.

They are not in the slightest bit legitimate, as is shown by your assertion that "foreigners in Poland are just arrogant knobs".

I didn't mean to imply that all foreigners in Poland are that but plenty of those who post on PF are just that. I'm asking why is that. You could give provide a lot material to answer that qestion if you would decide to be honest this time.

They aren't legitimate, because you don't live and haven't been in Poland for years.

Perhaps you'd like to supply some evidence for your claim?

They aren't legitimate,

Should I ask legitimate qestion then: why jon, delphinadomine, Harry, sobieski, smurf, bluesfan do not respect Polish culture and traditions? You know pretty well that such a thread would be binned. I made more general thread and those questions are legitimate whether you like it or not.

Go right ahead: I'd love to see you try to support a claim that I do not respect Polish culture and traditions.

Perhaps you should supply some proof for your claim. For what it's worth, I suspect those mentioned indulge with Polish culture and traditions far more than a "patriot" who has spent the last two decades across the pond.

exposing you and your bolshevik brigade has been a pleasure.

Remind us why you chose to abandon Poland as soon as you could?

I feel a little uncomfortable....wait...wait...no, false alarm just trapped wind.

Why haven't you included me ? I feel left out now :-(

Which costumes are you talking about? And I will do my utmost to disrespect them and be a shunning example of whatever it is you are talking about.

A more practical measure would to have no respect for the tradition many Poles have of drinking chemical filled rubbish such as Zywiec and instead drink good quality beer that is brewed by Polish in Polish owned breweries using Polish ingredients (for example, almost anything by Pinta or Ale Browar or Artezan)

I am supposed to be disrespect Poland but drinking that ********* is asking a little too much...even for me.
a heck of a lot of new beers these days, when the top beers aren't as good it makes room for the tasty "underdogs".

Unpasturized is very popular these days.
I still can't drink 'foggy' beers though... old habits die hard I guess

Simple, you are not disrespecting Polish culture and traditions, not on PF anyways. As for your despicable vices, they have nothing to do with the subject of the thread. And I don't care about them, your worst feature is a fact that you think yourself very intelligent and very wise when in fact you are very mediocre at best. You hate the fact it has been exposed.

Poles traditionally had more then 400 kinds and brands of beer. Zywiec was just one which Commies continued to make.

That may have been the cause when you 'left' Poland but now Poles have hundreds of Polish beers to choose from, but many Poles still have a tradition of drinking Zywiec. That is one tradition I have zero respect for.

It is no tradition but a matter of taste.

From reading this thread I still have no idea what the point of it is?

Toro what traditions/culture in your view are not being respected? Would be good to know and understand as I may be moving there?
