I noticed that in small towns every Polish peasant tells every other peasant how to live his live in every single small matter; it infuriates everyone (naturally) but they still do this to one another. It leads to hatred, distrust and frustration. Yet they still do this to one another. Constantly.
It was started by a troll on the internet who kept making bullsh!t forum threads even though he wasn't a registered member of the forum.
It all ended badly though, his body was found in a forest close to a disused coalmine in Bytom. A host of wild boar were demolishing his body when Police finally found his body. It's believed that 50 homesless men had also had their way with the body before the boars were given their turn.
That much is clear from your posts today. Is your frustration the result of your experience of moving so often between "every major city", or has something recently happened to make you so angry with and dismissive of Polish society?
They find the customs of rural Poland to be barbaric and pathetic.
I live in a village in eastern Poland, and what you describe is alien to me. The religious fundamentalists leave us alone, the village drunks do not knock on our door, the people are friendly and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoy living here.
I live in Malopolska. I fully believe that your experiences may be completely different from mine, and have no intention of denying that your experiences are legit. Here the religious nutcases are out of control.
surelly you are aware that the Catholic religion has a history of torturing and killing anyone who will not submit them, right?
While it is illegal to kill people for not being Catholic today (because of the Englightment), I'm sure there are some that would want this to exist today.
I don't need a nationalist-zealot like you to make me doubt my experiences, there are dozens of Polish friends I have that know exactly what I know and have experienced.
Regarding the Papacy, they still do force their religion wherever they can, just like Muslims.
And then I am considered an out-group member from that day on.
What kind of groups are you associating with?
I mean, if you're attending meetings of the All-Polish Catholic Forever Youth Brigade, it's quite normal that you would be an outcast for rejecting religion.
Can't imagine that none of the zealous polish patriots are completely unaware of this here....
I'm just wondering which non-religious groups try and force religion on you.
No "non-religous" group tries to force it on me, just the average uneducated hillbilly here who believes everything that comes out of a guy with a pointy hat who claims to be a virgin (which of course, is a lie).
@not_polish, Why dont you just move to Germany. You seem to be in love with that country, whereas you regard Poland as being of the same ilk as Saudi Arabia. Just move.
Not_Polish Sorry but you appear to be talking ;hogwash' re being forced to go to Catholic church. In the time I have been living here we have had 4 visits from Jehovah Witness and One from the local Priest, he was polite and welcomed us.I am non Catholic and he made no suggestion I attend church and I would imagine that is the experience of most of the non-Catholics on this forum.
