The custom of kneeling to say grace for a meal in Poland

My mother swears that her grandmother and family would kneel on the floor to say grace before eating. My grandmother was probably from Poznan. Has anyone else every heard of this custom? Thanks.

This would have been a custom. The custom also of kneeling when hearing a priest greeting you, or saying the name of our Lord was also practiced.
