Are there catteries/boarding kennels in Poland?

Hi, we recently moved to Poland with our 2 daughters. My oldest daughter would really like to get a cat but we are reluctant as obviously this would cause problems if we want to go on holiday or stay with relatives etc. So I was wondering if there is such a thing as catteries in Poland where we could pay them to look after the cat while we are away, as this is what we would have done in UK.

yes, in bigger cities - look for "hotel dla kotów" or "hotel dla zwierząt" (literally 'hotel for cats/animals')

These places cause a lot of stress on animals so check the facilities out in detail before you just drop Whiskers off at the front desk.

Check to see how clean the facilities are.
Check out the kennel your puss will be living in before you check him in.
Ask whether the other animals being boarded have proof of updated vaccines.
Best to take the cats own food that he is use to or he may get diarrhea from a sudden food change. (Usually the cheapest they can find)

Ask if they give the animals tranquilizers to keep them mellow in lala land so they sleep all the time and require less time to care for.

Ask how often the animaks are checked on.
Ask if there is a security person on premises 24/7.
If you care about your pets as much as I do you will give your critter sitter a full back ground check just like you would for your child's babysitter.

Yes, plenty, especially near larger towns. Any vet can recommend a good one.

In Poland, people often leave their cat or dog with a trusted friend when they go away. This might be an option too.
