Nothing has changed. People think the same. Laws are all f-ed up, regulations make no sense, people have no experience and on top of that the corruption… It's impossible to do business there in an honest and organized way. I would be lying if I said I didn't know what you mean but... I live here and do do business here. It is slowly changing for the better and the country, as a whole, has changed quite dramatically for the better in the 9 odd years I have known her.(I have not lived here for 9 years though).

At first i only gave the controller my international student card so that he could write me a receipt, but the guy was more after that i give him the money in person which was wrong, going with the normal procedure of getting fined... to be very transparent.. this guy was angry that the money i had to give him was not enough, and his expression was bad, he insisted i should go to the ATM for more at such hour, but i refused and said he should give me the paper to pay at the office to put him on the right track of letting me go... the next thing he did was to call the Police... painting a picture that he caught a fugitive who refused to activate his ticket. This was how the Police came into the scene...

I think you are a thieving gypsy and you got caught! Pay the fine and hope that future attempts are more successful

You are very clearly lying. Ticket inspectors are paid per person they catch, they simply will not wait around for the police to turn up. For them time is money.

Without an ID card confirming an address in Poland (or a driving licence) - then you don't have the option of receiving a receipt. It's pretty simple - only those with a valid Polish address (and an ID to back this up) have the option of paying later. Come on, do you really think someone from France for instance is going to pay a Polish public transport fine if they didn't give a Polish address?

I dare say the police simply took your passport details to make sure that you paid the fine.

Things have changed

Do people over sixty receive free travel on public transport, as we do in Britain and Ireland in Britain it is called a "Freedom Pass." Which allows travel on buses trains, and tube trains within a given radius out of rush hour.

In Poland, when you are over seventy. At the very least it is the case in Bielsko- Biała. On buses. Rush hour or not. The trains, they pay 1/2. My father crossed this line a year ago. Not sure about trams, as there are no trams in Bielsko.

I just don't get why the tram cops don't bother riding the trams all hours of operation and get the little effers that are scratching the glass for no good reason and tagging any available surface.

Why do Polish people always want to do things correctly? when society itself isn't correct?
My friend she put 5zl in a machine to get a ticket, no ticket, then she put 20zl in, still no ticket, then she has to go to work, gets on a bus,

and then meets a ticket twat, and SHE gets a ticket!

mpk blame the company whose machine it is, pigging thick isn't it?
So if the bus breaks down, mpk will not take responsibility, the prats will blame the makers of the bus, Volvo or Mercedes,
even though it was 20yrs ago when they were purchased!

A word of advice people if you cannot afford to buy a car, arm yourself with 3 things

* A bus ticket - laminated (I was carrying one of these for 2yrs before I got a car!)
* Pepper spray - to spray their stupid faces
* A camera - to take a picture of them

Simply pepper their face and tell them to "get a real job!" - be sure to take a picture so we can all see what they look like.

We need a website shaming these people!
