What do you get when you go looking for the source of the Polish joke in America? Bombshells. Skinheads. Twins. The Pope. Communists. Hunks. Riots. Disco. Monsters. A Plane Crash. Peasants. And Cats.

An in-the-closet Polish-American seeks answers, but only finds new levels of rejection. Polack is a documentary film that incorporates personal journey, with archival and entertainment footage, while confronting the history of Poland and its contemporary social politics.

You can watch the film here but it will cost you 3 dollars!

Only if your people promise to stop telling jokes about others.

I mean, I've heard plenty of racist jokes in Poland.

Most of the world knows nothing about Poland let alone knows or pushes these subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people. The subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people were primarily told only in Germany and America, especially in the 1970's when Hollywood and the TV media (like NBC-TV) was pushing them hard.

Basically nobody I know or come in contact with today, is telling any "Polish jokes". The only times I hear talk of them today is on the internet like here.

Since the mainstream TV media isn't pushing Polish jokes like it did in the 1970's, its not being pushed by Americans, unless they are Neo-Nazis or Polish-haters themselves.

This movie looks rather odd.

Yes it is an odd movie to say the least. It seems to have some positive imagery of Polish people, like footage of the Polish pope but then the movie goes off on all types of tangents like talking about Gays and skinheads, which every country has. Since the movie talks about finding the origin of subhuman intelligence jokes against Polish people, hopefully it will talk about how "Polish jokes" originated from Nazi German Propaganda and how they ironically spread to the US by Hollywood/TV networks (in the 60's and 70's), with Hollywood not revealing where it got these racist Polish jokes from.

It seems like it has some token positive things to say about Polish people mixed with a lot of negative things about Polish people. Just the name of the movie "Polack" is racist against Polish people with the words "a small minded movie" to add to its racism against Polish people. Could you imagine a movie called "Ni**ger" "a small minded movie" or "K*ke" "a small minded movie"???

But the fact that the movie calls itself a small minded movie should speaks for itself as to the quality or integrity of this "movie". I'll take the producer's word on the movie. Its basically a low brow movie. No wonder it wasn't played anywhere in the US.

But the one thing the movie is accurate about, is that the subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people was primarily a 1970's thing.

Nevertheless, I'm sure somebody with an anti-Polish agenda, like Delphiadomine, will enjoy the movie.

What's to enjoy?

It looks like it's produced by an American - in which case, they won't have a ******* clue.

Poland is far too complex for one movie, anyway.

Q: How many Poles does it take to wipe out Polish jokes forever?

A: More than they've got.

You can say that about any group.

But in my daily world you would need zero since I don't hear any subhuman intelligence jokes about Polish people.

I dunno, anyone that uses the word "Busha" is clearly of limited, sub-human intelligence.

I think it's just the American way of shortening everything that they cant pronounce. How many Polish lastnames did not get killed this way in the US? ^^

Heard the story of Maximilian Faktorowicz aka Max Factor?

Upon arrival to the US his name was misspelt by the custom inspector as Factor.

And yes he is the founder of the cosmetics company Max Factor.

Watched the movie a couple of days ago.

The movie had some errors, but still worth 1h 30 mins of my life!

It's about war, blood, jews and gays!

Worth 3 dollars for sure.
