Are Polish people so chaotic and disorganized like Germans say?

Many Poles are quick to point out German efficiency and organzation. I remember last year there was a deadly Polish bus accident in Germany (near Berlin I think) and I was surprised to hear many Poles say that they were thankful that such a serious accident took place in Germany. Thy had no faith in the polish first responders to adequately help the victims.

Generally from my exerience livining in Poland, I would have to agree with the stereotype. Two areas that stick out the most are bureaucracy and infrastructure.

sascha: u arent slavic, right? so dont participate in this discussion if u dont know what i mean.

Is that discussion, Slavic style? :)

sascha: yes, so what.

You are a German, so you are automatically a Nazi, a robot without feelings, you're arrogant and you feel superior, and you are always waiting for a chance to invade your neighbors. Common "knowledge" on PF - get used to it. Much better than simply being called "disorganized", isn't it?

Yes, it is true.

But it doesn`t necessarily mean only advantages. Apart from being an asset, perfect organization can be a curse too.

E.g., chaotic Poles would never be able to start two world wars and organize the Holocaust.

Perfect Germans managed to carry them out successfully, indeed, but they are going to pay for it till the end of the world.

What is your point if you have one ? I thought you left for good ? PF is not for you methinks !
Relax, you evidently have same issue - personal issue with Poles- no use to deny it, it is obvious.
I like Germans as individuals (except some as-holes and officials), I have friends there, general they are a lot like Poles but more down to Earth and less competitive.

Machines.

Some parts showed that they are usable. Executive functions, how to phrase that ;)
They also respond good to direct orders which is always a plus.

bureaucracy and infrastructure.

The infrastructure is improving, but it's exactly where you'd expect them to be.

Bureaucracy? You've never lived in France.

this is ridiculous, everyone except the swiss; japanese; scandanavians and austrians are chaotic and disorganized according to the germans

I'm so tired of the inferiority complex people have here, stop projecting and just own up to things and get on with it.

fwiw, a lot of Poles are simply above caring what nationality x says about them, these people know who they are and aren't pigeon-holed.

It's the plastic poles who are the worst offenders ime, they don't know what it is to be polish so they try to create animosity in the spirit of us vs them and this is how they try to belong to what they were never a real part of. (sorry i was just listening to a doobie brothers song, i think it influenced my post: a wise man has the power, to reason away....)

Ah...no. You haven't. You've clearly never experienced the wonders that is the urząd, and the working hours designed to suit them. Work ethic? What work ethic?

A Polish person (generalization) thinks of getting out of work as fast as possible not making a difference in the company, that was even more visible during communist times. But this is a generalization and it's if a Pole is working for someone else. Now when it comes to his own business he/she is very organized sometimes to extremes. The same goes for a Pole's home and belongings keeps it looking new and neat.

I'm American but I do respect Germans more than Poles considering they've contributed much more to engineering/science/technology.

I've been to both countries and Germany definitely looks more organized. Whenever I'm using any kind of service in Poland, employees tend to be rude.

Look at the local governments in Poland, at the bueraucrats in local agencies... a mess is our speciality :) Look at the road builders for example... Some time ago, around 5 years ago, I used to drive to the Czech Republic for business issues. I passed by the building site of the petrol station on A4 motorway. There was around 10 people staying in a circle, one man was working... look at this link: anthillz.net/zdzichu.html, the same situation. On the other side of the border (in Czech), there was a building site of a bridge. In one month the bridge was almost finished, in the same time period in Poland... hehe, you probably expect... was done almost nothing :)

Private companies in PL are more organized, much more.

Yup. If you travel around Central Europe it looks like this:
Switzerland - Germany - Austria - Hungary/Czechia - Poland

He looks a bit like Putin, that Kamil Durczok fellow. Many Poles seem to know that they should stay calm (which aids organisation) but it's sometimes easier said than done. Unlike the Japanese, some Poles have a hard time biting their lip and leaving sth alone. They have to chip in with sth. Some can't even organise a pi*s-up in a brewery but it depends where you look. I respect the level of organisation in bureaucratic establishments.

unfortunately YES. Those two clips illustrate the state of some institutions in Poland and I don't mean Lis or Durczok- they are professionals who work with ............

the strange thing about those clips are the comments of people who see nothing wrong with the mess, but instead criticize those two guys for the lack of professionalism - lol.

wait, on second thought, the Germans may have a point. Looking at a few larger car parks and I routinely see exactly what the Germans have been ALLEGEDLY saying.

Germans were very organised with their elbows in Fuerteventura. Amongst the rudest old sods I had ever seen. No character and no class!
