Passport Photo Booth - Warsaw

I am due to send my passport back to the UK so I can get a visa for a trip to Moscow over the new year... does anyone know of a passport photo booth located centrally?

I seem to remember one in Arkadia, but could easily be mistaken!

It'd be easier just to go to a photographers, I got 8 photos a wee while ago for less than 20zl, I've never seen a photo booth in Poland which is a bit weird, they're feckin everywhere back home

Hey, I'm currently living in Poland and need some passport sized photos for my summer vacation to Russia. I've been told that typically you can get them done at a photographers but my current Polish skills are somewhat crap. I'll be going from Slask to Gdansk next week. Does anyone know if one of the major cities in between, preferably Wroclaw or Poznan, has a photo booth?

I suggest epassportphoto - passport photos for any country for free.

There's a booth in Warszawa Centralna (in the ground floor concourse) and the shop near the lower-lever exit to the bus stops specialises in them. If you can't use a phrase book, you can probably point at something in the shop.

If you're in Slask, there's two in the Silesia City Shopping Centre....up on the top floor close to the cinema.

this is because identity type photos must fit a profile. any old picture, often, won't do.

My boyfriend is currently in Warsaw having missed his plane due to having his passport stolen. He has an appointment at the British Embassy in the morning and has to take passport photos with him however he has no idea where to find a photo booth. Can anyone help?

Do not use a booth! The requirements for passport photos are now very specific (very tight limits for size of face etc). Go to a photographer. Personally I like Czasownia at al. Jana Pawła II 46/48 paw.17 (very close to the KFC on the corner of Jana Pawla and Solidarnosci). It's watch shop with a photography studio in the back and is where I've had the photos for my last two British passports done. Nice people and they speak about enough English to get the job done.

I need to get some passport size photos clicked for my visa. Can some one recommend a cheap photo studio. I have come across a few studios in the malls where they charge 25/30 sooty for 4 photos. Is there a place where I can get it for cheap?

25/30 zlotych is cheap, however if you want it even cheaper, try the tunnels under the railway station - galleria poludniowa to be exact. If you need it cheaper still there's a booth in the main concourse.

Better to use a studio than a booth - there are some bizarre rules in PL about showing ears etc.

Hi! Yes, best to go to a photographer's as the rules are very drastic. Head has to be turned in one way, ears and hair have to show in other way and you obvioulsy won't know how to do it. You'll end up spending more if you do it otherwise since your photos won't suit and you'll have to have more taken.

In May I had to have pictures taken for my national ID card (criteria are exactly the same as for Polish passport). I went to a photographer's (I don't remember name, it's a chain, maybe something like "Photo Lab") in Blue City, just next to Carrefour and I paid 40 ZL for 4 pictures. I had expected less but the photos were taken the right way and they suit administrative demands.

Don't waste your time and money, go to photographer's!

InPolska is right, For official documents always go to a professional photographer and save yourself the stress of uncertainty. The photographer that took my photo for Polish driving license even showed me many drafts to choose from, which I greatly appreciated.

If you need it for an overseas document, be wary. They have the rules for (say) British passports, however they don't follow them - they have very fixed ideas about what is acceptable and in any case their information is often out of date.

I strongly recommend the one under the station (the bit near the cash machines on the way to the Marriott). they're cheap and OK.

Like I said, best to go to photographer's because they'll know what to do. It'll cost something like 40zl but so what???? Going to a booth and pay let's say 20 or 25zl for photos that shall be refused and therefore: 20/25 + 40zl to go to photographer + waste of time ;).

Why complicating things?
