I am moving to Bydgoszcz and need some answers to my questions

Hello everyone, I'll be moving to Bydgoszcz to start a new job and i have a list of questions/concerns. I have heard so many wonderful things about Polish people and I have heard some things that make me go "erhhh" as I am of African descent. Please help answer as many questions as possible. Even if you have an answer to just one question, your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Questions/Concerns

1. Nice locations to live in with a lot of English speaking foreigners or just really nice neighborhoods.

2. Which are the best Polish language learning schools? I intend to be enrolled in one of them to learn the language.

3. Best banks to open with friendly rates and reliable services

4. Is it better to buy electronics in Poland? I currently live in France. I'm also wondering if i should just sell off my stuff to come and re-buy them in Poland.

5. Are there English speaking Catholic churches in Bydgoszcz where the mass is said in English?

6. What are the salons like? Are there salons where a girl can fix weaves, braids or things like this?

As for braids try this one (I don't know if every salon makes them): alternatywny.com.pl

As for weaves - I'm not entirely sure what they are, if you mean hair extensions - I've never had them, but I suspect bigger salons do this. Maybe try this one, they write on their site that the staff speaks English: salontiffany.pl/strona_glowna/0.en.0.htm

And they make hair extensions ("przedłużanie włosów" in Polish).

You're welcome :) As for your other questions, I don't live in Bydgoszcz so I can't really say, but:

1. Nice locations to live in with a lot of English speaking foreigners or just really nice neighborhoods.

I doubt there are areas in the city with a lot of English speaking foreigners (but, as I wrote, I don't live there).

2. Which are the best Polish language learning schools? I intend to be enrolled in one of them to learn the language.

I don't know which are the best, but that's what I've found by googling:

bellcorporate.pl
en.kpsw.edu.pl/en/school-of-polish-language-and-culture/

5. Are there English speaking Catholic churches in Bydgoszcz where the mass is said in English?

I doubt there are, tbh.

I doubt there are, tbh.

But you could check out this church and ask: diecezja.byd.pl/index.php/spis-parafii/141

At some point they were conducting masses in different languages, also in English (but that was in 2005, I don't know if they still do that).

Why foreigners? You haven't come to Poland yet and you already plan to stay away from Poles?

That's a good advice. If you want to learn Polish fast, then the best option is to live for some time in shared apartment with other Polish people. Don't expect big foreign communities in Rzeszów. Electronics prices are comparable, so don't send them from France when shipping cost is too big. About banks, I've heard that this one is not bad: aliorbank.pl/en or internet banking sync.pl but I don't know about interests there.

Oh no! I would love to live with Poles, the only issues i have is communication. I have started learning Polish but i know that it will still be extremely difficult to carry out a meaningful conversation in Polish. I don't want to be lost and misunderstood during my first few weeks/months. This is why I asked if there is anywhere where foreigners live. Anywhere, I'll be able to live comfortably and get by by speaking English while i'm working on my Polish is fine too.

Thanks for making me clarify that.

I'll look into the banks you mentioned!

Thanks a lot!!!
