Polish "Mall Girl" Culture?

Why don't you see this type of behavior in say, Croatia.

I did, I mean prostitution.

Or take our neighbors to the south, while prostitution is much more open and accepted, the phenomena of the galerianki is nowhere to be found.

So it is what they sell their bodies for that is the issue?

I did, I mean prostitution.

Prostitution is nowhere near as prevalent in Croatia as it is here. And the idea of a galerianki is close to absurd.

So it is what they sell their bodies for that is the issue?

No, it's the age at which they do it, and the reason for it.

It takes different forms in each country according to culture.Belarus women may wait for truck drivers in the road to the village, russian women may enter trains in mass to join tochkas in Moscow for a weekend after coming from village,Czech may wait in cafes and clubs with their legs open,Ukrainians put on revealing dresses or skirts and join clubs waiting for a man to come so they can throw the 50$ line, etc.

There are for sure clubs in Poland where girls ready for sponsoring wait for sb to pay their rent.

And most people don't understand how important these things have become for teenagers to be accepted.

Im sure when every one of us were growing up having the right clothes was important, personally I didnt feel the need to go and sell myself, as Im sure most young girls in Poland dont.

The missing father just didnt exist in communist times, nowadays its all I hear,

These are just excuses for bad behaviour and moral decline, also are you telling me there were NO single parent families before 1989 or whatever year it was? Give me a break!

I find that hard to believe.

And the idea of a galerianki is close to absurd.

I agree with you there, I can't imagine Croatians doing it in this way.

No, it's the age at which they do it, and the reason for it.

I know for a fact that in Lithuania this type of behaviour is much more common. Women selling sex for designer boots etc...

As for the age, you have a point.

How common is this teenagers selling sex for modern materials?
Is it sensationalism or a whole cultural phenomena?
I don't know.

It takes different forms in each country according to culture.

I agree.

Polki are very liberated but nowhere near Ukraine where sposnoring etc is considered normal and many husbands do it in knowledge of their wives.
Poland is just a variation not of the best kind. But many girls are open to material offers.I would say that they ask directly for material offers.

It's not a dig at Poland, it's just observation. Like, there is more prostitution in the Czech Republic, again, just an observation.

I don't know.

That would be interesting to know. Most of the "journalism" on this has read more like political messages than actual reporting.

Like, there is more prostitution in the Czech Republic

This is only because prostitution in CR is legal. Many polish pros work in Germany,in the UK,Netherlands etc.
Sponsoring is not exactly prostitution. Many girls choose the guys they want to be with, they don't fall for everyone with money.

You really think thats what Im trying to say??? Of course not. Im not talking about the 80s generation, but the 50/60s. Almost 1/4 to 1/3 of girls Ive met born after the 1980s had no fathers, or who were present but shouldnt have been (alcoholics etc), for a 'traditional Catholic' family mindset that must be quite a blow to children.

Sponsoring is not exactly prostitution. Many girls choose the guys they want to be with, they don't fall for everyone with money.

Sure its not defacto prostitution, in a way it actually seems like a good deal, she gets what she wants, he gets what he wants, there is some relationship involved, neat and simple. Just that these are 16 year old girls who are still incredibly insecure and immature, go ask them how a baby is made, I doubt 1/2 would be able to answer the question. I doubt any of them are self aware enough to understand what theyre doing and how badly theyre damaging their self esteem.

Btw, why did the girls call their sponsers 'frajer' then? Sure they chose, but not somebody they actually would want to be with. If these girls will ever be able to enter into a normal relationship is another thing, Im guessing no.

It is feked up mentality. You really don't know who is screwed more. But the man is screwed for sure.My guess is that during communist times there were no laws,no classes,no feminist concepts and everyone was legitimate to search for money any way possible. There are several concepts here which may explain why Slavic girls are so much liberated.

The ground reason for this is of course their horniness, moral instability and desire to achieve many things in young age and in easy way.

You didn't have socialism, you had communism. The Communist party was in charge. A country like Finland had socialism.

Actually, it was Communism. Look, the USSR stood for: United Soviet Socialists Republics, but they were still all communists. You can bicker and argue and try to call them socialists and deny that they were true communists, but they weren't really; they were communists.

no, if we had communism we would live in farms, ride common busses, eat in common cantines. instead we had Fiat and Polonez cars, lived in apartments and cooked at home. farmers were not collectivized, but farmed their own and even had grocery stalls.

It's right about the socialism in the west. Look at Royal Mail for example, it is as bad or worse as Poczta Polska has ever been. And the France Telecom. When TPSA was Polish it was not THAT crap...

I didn't understand the bit in the article where it said they follow men into shops then seduce them by trying clothes on. I don't see men going into those shops with women's clothes unless they are with their gf or wife usually.

I recall a few slutty looking girls giving me the old coy smile in the malls but chose to pretend it was my dashing good looks ;) Thinking back they often had the thigh high boots so it must be one of the "signs". These girls were all looking older however...never saw any 14-15yos dressed like that. Surprised the Police don't crack down on that since it involves kids.

Firstly: Do the author of this thread know what does a world "culture" mean?

It's just outregous title of a thread again."Kultura polskich "*******" or "mall girls."It is not a culture. It is not (whats more) also a pop cultur. It makes prostitution or sponsoring a kind of "culture".

I wonder if mods react at title of threads.
This one is just ridiculous for me.
Secondly: This just a way of life some empty silly and immature women or girls.

No comments except this one above.

Do the author of this thread know what does a world "culture" mean?

The author titled this thread with a question mark at the end of the heading. The author of this thread also stated in the first post; "Say it isn't so".

The word culture has several definitions and/or elements. For instance, a set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution, organization or group

can be said to have (their) culture. This is social culture which is a way of life of a group of people--their behaviors, beliefs, values, that they accept. Culture need not necessarily encompass the totality of customs, beliefs, etc. of a group but can be 'provincial' as well; for example, mall girls.

This just a way of life some empty silly and immature women or girls.

Exactly, it's their culture, limited as it may be.

Sponsoring is not exactly prostitution.

It's a thin line. I remember hearing the argument for going to a prostitute, "What's the difference between that and buying a girl drinks all night... just that the prozzie is cheaper and you know you'll get what you want."

what????
Is church responsible for prostitution? LOL

Well, you might ask the choirboy where he got his mobile phone...

Firstly: Do the author of this thread know what does a world "culture" mean?

Do you?

Culture has three main meanings, one of which is a shared system of practices and beliefs, behaviour etc. which are charcateristic of a particular group (and arguably maintain its identity).

These girls (and boys) presumably have their own codes of practice, slang, etc. Therefore it is possible to refer to it as a culture.

I remember hearing the argument for going to a prostitute, "What's the difference between that and buying a girl drinks all night.

Answer: There is no difference. The former is honest about it and the latter pretends that she is at least somewhat virtuous.

The most hypocritical form of prostitution is called dating. That's when men take out supposedly 'independent' sic, women and spend money on dinner, drinks, and any entertainment. Most women accept this without batting a false eyelash. A few will ask if they can pay half but they don't really mean it. Men are still too embarrassed to accept their offers but they should. A new and better standard would then be met.

Gentlemen, some women talk about 'equality' but they don't believe in it. For them it's pick-and-choose parity. If it costs them money then real equality is too big a price to pay.

Women will not be truly liberated or independent or empowered (there's that word again) until they can overcome that hump. Let's call it a real wage gap.

It has.
1).Art and philosophy of life.
2). Particular society (or civilization) in relations to their beliefs and way of life.
3). The cultur of a particular group consists of a habits of the people in it, and the way they behave.
(from Collins dictionary)

These girls (and boys) presumably have their own codes of practice, slang, etc. Therefore it is possible to refer to it as a culture.

They behave in a particular way and they have habits. But I don't think they are "cultured".
again: "cultured": if you describe someone as cultured you mean they have good manners, are well educated, and know a lot about art

Maybe they are well educated though (I would study thanks to my sugardaddy).

Yeah, let's have a new pair of trousers. We will be very cultured (we will have good manners- how to walk in this model ), we will be well educated (next two hours with client and I would buy a new pair) and we will know a lot about art (fashion for example) - actually all night will allow me buy more expensive pair of trousers. Or next model of mobile (fourth or fifth one).

Gosh!!!
But why Polish "mall girls culture?"
No prostitution anywhere else?
Gosh, gosh, gosh...
Hate this thread.
Prostitution, sponsoring, mallgirls. Goooosh, don't make it Polish. Because its not polish!!!
Sponsoring is sponsoring. It doesn't have nationality.
