Listen you your family stories, from your Aunts, Uncles, Grandfathers and Grandmothers if you have the time.. give them your time.
we often forget, even as children, how important our older generations are. we ignore their stories, but you sure like grandmas soup, and cookies.
remember not to long in the future, it will be you telling stories, trying to gather their attention and wondering if you will ever get your say.
This is how I feel today.. I have one beautiful and gracious aunt left in my life. January we lost my uncle , her husband.. I could see the question in her eyes..
so here is my thoughts:
if I was to picture how my life would be at my age now, back then, I wouldnt have thought any of them would be all gone by now. its like when your a kid , you picture them lastin forever. and its not possible. so much changes, so fast, its like I blinked. and then I blinked again.. here i am.
The Only thing I can say is, dont wait to encourage those who are seeking to find what is meaningful to them in their lives.. whether its genealogy or their destiny maybe a dream job.. whatever it is, let them be who they are or want to be.
life is two pair of eyes.. you blink and before you know it / its over.
Let those who are young seek the answers to the questions they ask.
no matter what ethnic background.
