Are there any launderettes in Katowice?

Hi!

I have just moved to Katowice and I do not have a flat yet...so I do not have a washing machine.

Does anyone know of a launderette or place that I can get my clothes washed/dried?

I've only been to the on in Silesia city centre: silesiacitycenter.com.pl

There are no self-service ones as far as I know. And I haven't seen them anywhere outside of shopping malls.

Actually the self service one seems to be closest to where I am staying so I think I will try this one first. If not I will go to one of the others.

Please note that 5asec is what we in the UK would regard as a dry cleaners. Such places are often found in shopping centres/malls. They do however also wash shirts and blouses, and iron them. They won't however do general laundry as far as I know, and are nothing like Dot Cotton on Eastenders...

I've used 5 á sec and found them expensive and less effective than traditional Polish ones. Some of the old ones look old-fashioned but generally give a better service.
