Anyone know of an English-language translation of "Kapuściński Non-Fiction", yet?

I'm burning up the Googles, but.... nada.

I think all of Kapucściński's books have been translated into English. Is this book by him or about him?

It's about him. His wife tried to halt it's publication, due to it being a "tell-all".

It will probably be translated into English soon. Kapuśćiński is revered in the English speaking world.

I really dig him. A friend of mine gave me "Shadow of the Sun" my first month in Wro, and I've been hooked ever since.

I like Kapuscinski too, though as far as I know there isn't an English-language translation of the biography in the offing - most people who like his work and are interested enough to buy it read Polish.

Man, as soon as I can wrap my head around "transitive nouns" and other fun aspects of the Polish language, I'll give it a try.

Read as much as possible and all that will just come.

The book is forthcoming! I don't know the publisher or any other details, but three months ago I spoke to Domoslawski's colleague from Gazeta Wyborcza and he said then the book was being translated. So should not take long, I bet this will be published by the end of this year.

Is it not inviting for you that some posters here are so Kapuściński crazed that they probably not only read all his books (when you start you can't stop) but also can't wait to get their hands on his boography?

Read him and see - he's a travel writer on a par with James Morris or Norman Douglas - truly one of the greats.
