What is the error message / code - what happens when you enter your details and submit?

Just dead, 'contact your bank'
There's no sister bank to Halifax here?

There's no sister bank to Halifax here?

They wouldn't be able to help you.

Seeing that you are not a registered member of this forum, I assume you googled "bank card Poland" or something similar and found this forum.

Why didn't you google "Halifax Customer Service phone number" instead"?

I am not sure what you expect to get on this forum? We do not have magic glass balls that tell us what is wrong with your card or your account.

Best option is to contact Halifax to ask what is wrong. Only they can tell you exactly what the problem is.

It looks Halifax bank in Poland is associated with Scotia Bank (which is related to Deutche Bank), so my suggestion is to find a Deutche Bank location in Poland and try there.

I have been on this forum for information many times, I'm not registered though and I do not expect magic balls. I thought someone might be able to advise as to whether I could contact Halifax in poland.

Oh, and my fone has run out of credit so not easy to phone tonight...

Thank you Nathans

This is the one to phone. You can do it through Skype if you put some Skype credit on (which you can do online). This is the number: +44 1132 798 302

It looks Halifax bank in Poland is associated with Scotia Bank (which is related to Deutche Bank), so my suggestion is to find a Deutche Bank location in Poland and try there.

Useless information; they can do nothing.

All you can do is contact Halifax via the customer services number and they'll unblock it.

Get your son or someone else to send you some cash via western union. Pick it up tomorrow, top up your phone or buy a Polish sim and call Halifax yourself.

Most likely your son, or anyone else for that matter, won't get any info about your card and account.

Pps. Should have got 2nd card :(

Yes, I have two accounts and two cards with my bank. If one card doesn't work or gets stuck in an ATM whilst being abroad I still have the second card. And funds can be transferred within second from one account to the other, just in case.

And if the second doesn't work either, there is the credit card that will almost always work no matter where.

Been in similar situations way too often. When I go abroad now I have my two bank cards, my credit card and usually some spare cash (Usually dollars because you can't go wrong with it in the east) with me.

Just want to say dzinku to those people who responded to my mail. Everthing was good thanx to beingable to access a landline and spend 40 plus minutes the next day confirming it was me using my card as i hadn't told the *******, sorry i mean bankers, i would be away so long (*sigh* buraucracy).

BTW, anyone else think they"re using HAARP near Poland at the mo? Weather is too wierd in Warszawa me thinks 😣
