I live in Krakow and would like to find out how much Tauron charges per kilowatt hour - does anyone know? Ballpark is fine - I simply cannot decipher our electric bill...

how much Tauron charges per kilowatt hour
tauron-pe.pl/dla-domu/sprzedaz1/Pages/default.aspx
+23% vat
Thanks!
Could you give me the numbers, becuase neither my wife or I can understand our bill.
edit, ah, there are multiple tariffs. That website doesn't show the numbers if you access it from a mobile device. I hate it when website developers decide to check your browser and give you a different website becuase you are using a Tablet.

I'd like to know how my bill breaks down as well. It appears that I have 6 separate charges + VAT (the first is easy to understand, the others not so much):
1) Energia elektryczna czynna - 0,2682/kWh
2) Opłata przejściowa - 4,50/month
3) Opłata jakościowa - 0,0070/kWh
4) Opłata dystrybucyjna zmienna - 0,1889/kWh
5) Opłata dystrybucyjna stała - 3,03/month
6) Opłata abonamentowa (OSD) - 0,84/month
Including the 23% VAT, it looks like my total electricity rate is 0,6235/kWh - significantly higher than the basic rate. If anyone can shed some light on these surcharges, I would be most appreciative! Thanks...

The basic rate is very misleading as most of what you pay is the additional charges. They are sort of a standby fee, you pay the company just for being connected (line maintenance etc.), just for them being willing and able to deliver. I have a summer house where the actual energy use is minimal, I still pay about 20 PLN every second month, even in winter when the house is locked and empty. I'm Polish but I'm not able to figure these fees out, I understand single words but I'm still not sure what I'm paying for.
Here's the translation for you:
Opłata przejściowa - transitional fee??
Opłata jakościowa - quality fee???
Opłata dystrybucyjna zmienna - variable distribution fee
Opłata dystrybucyjna stała - fixed distribution fee
Opłata abonamentowa - standing (subscription) charge
make of it what you will.

Don't worry, Tauron presents the mathematical equation on which it's possible to calculate it, but it's so complicated that I resigned and just... pay their bills. That's the only hway:)

i worked mine out to be roughly 1.50 PLN / kwh, that was with Energiapro last year.

That is high. Solar panels look very attractive at that price.
