The best price (it's probably almost free) would be to take a dog from a dog shelter in Warsaw. You can use search by: schronisko psów warszawa for maps/info/addresses. Unless you mean to buy a pedigree dog from a reputable dog breeder (but then it's not going to be cheap, especially if you want to have pedigree documentation).

We recently got a mutt from a local farmer. He was glad to give one of three pups away to a good home. Last year my brother paid 650 GBP for a posh dog, but I can't really see the difference. Our pooch also goes woof, wags his tail and thinks we're great. Look out for a local website (if you know what I mean) that people use when they have dogs to give away.

Where to buy dogs in Warsaw

Does anyone know where to buy dogs in Warsaw? I am looking for a female doberman puppy...

look in the newspapers ads sections. or check internet.

Why don't you contact the TOZ (Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzetami) the equivalent of the RSPCA, it's a human society and they have shelters or contacts with shelters. There are so many homeless dogs looking for love.

The dog sanctuary at Paluch has plenty of very nice doggies waiting for good homes.

Yes, but in another thread Chemikiem suggested it is a risky business coz such dogs are emotionally unstable after what they have experienced. Yes, I recalled that my dad had such a dog in 1990s and she used to take a pee in the corners of rooms and the wooden floorboards stunk like hell.

Jon, a terrible thought came to my mind. The OP was asking about a dog as food!

From Where I can buy a good dog with a good price here in Warsaw ?!

I would be careful.

The OP was asking about a dog as food!

Probably not - his name suggests otherwise.

Mind you, when I worked with Filipinos, they assured me that the meat is delicious.

Chemikiem suggested it is a risky business coz such dogs are emotionally unstable after what they have experienced.

I meant in the respect of not knowing the history of the animal and what it might have been subjected to. My rescue dog-to-be obviously didn't like children. But in general, homing a stray dog from a shelter is a great idea, and much cheaper than forking out for a pedigree.

Nah, but on another thread he was asking about the price of Bulldogs, now he's asking about Collies............

My parents' last dog was from a shelter. He wouldn't stay alone at home without barking. He was probably afraid of being left alone. However, it might have also been caused by a mere fact that he wasn't used to staying alone.

When we brought him from the shelter, he would growl at middle aged men and go really crazy if he smelled some alcohol. Later things got better and he was best friends with my dad who was middle aged at that time.
