Exceedingly I'd say! We have the same but with whisky. There was a drinking competition in Inverness and the guy didn't even live to claim his reward. Oops a daisy! I don't see many Poles staggering around tbh. More Scots do IMHO.

I drink every day but I fully control it. I can stop whenever I want, but for the time being I don`t want to stop because it isn`t a problem.

every single day?? Dude, you got to quit for few days every once in a while, just to see if you get the shakes!

Well said by Pawian :) :) My wife smokes a lot because she wants to. I don't smoke now because I don't want to. It's about willpower and choice :)

I didn't drink for a long time because I had a cold and there was no sense. Still, I like a swalley on the bevvy but, like Pawian, it is all controlled and harm's no-one.

I drink every day

Drink should be part of your diet.....that is important. Most Europeans understand that alcohol is part of adult life.

Absolutely. Understanding is well developed in Europe, then? ;) :)

by far poles drink more then americans. for that matter so do germans and french and italians. alcohol is much more the way of life in europe. besides europe not having prohibition, there are no dry areas (counties) or sunday laws in europe. rarely do get togethers start with a drink in usa like they do in most euuropean countriies. so, it's not even close marek.

Polish people do not seem to have a problem with alcohol.
pawian  221 | 25246

At this stage this thread has become a competition rather than what the OP intended...

But I have never ever seen drinking like in Lithuania:
...
In comparison, the Irish and Poles are teetotallers.

I heard when I lived there that the lads would leave a metal pipe in the snow, buy a cheap perfume, and pour the perfume down the pipe. The 'idea' was that the 'impurities' would freeze to the pipe (alcohol having a lower freezing temperature), allowing the alcohol to come out the end of the pipe to be drunk, to be drunk.

Who isn't mentally challenged when he is drunk? ;)

I don't believe in that story (slow movements, lousy coordination, coal mine worker?). But I'm willing to reconsider:)

Where did you get that information?
