I have Polish type-D visa. How to apply for Austrian national visa?

I have come to Poland for study. I have got type-D polish national visa for 1 year and I don't have temporary residence card.

I recently applied in a university in Austria. Probably, they will accept me.

Now, if I cancel my admission in the university in Poland and try to get my tuition fee back before I get the Austrian visa, would there be any trouble for me? Would I be stripped off of my Polish visa? What is the Polish immigration rule in this case?

Please, I need some advice.

'How to apply for Austrian national visa?" ????? You just go to nearest Austrian consulate (I think in Warsaw it is on ul. Gararina, or at least it was a few years ago) and you see with them. Nobody in PF (most posters are in the US and have never even set a foot in Poland, let alone in Austria) shall give you the rules. Only the Austrian authorities can and shall and based upon your personal situation and your money, they'll decide whether or not to issue visa. What do you want us to do?????? ;)
