SKOK Stefczyka?

Is SKOK Stefczyka a parabank, cooperative bank, savings & loan or what? Are they ,more reliable than Ambergold and Fintroyal? Do customers have to pay the Belka tax or their captial gains?

A thousand times more reliable and a longer history.


Not quite any of those. A few similarities to a Friendly Society but again, not the same. Not a sparkasse or a 'plankton bank' either, but similarities to all of those.

Actually I would say it is close to the savings & loan thing. The two main differences between SKOK and Bank are (or maybe were):

1. It is not supervised and regulated by KNF like Banks. KNF small equivalent is KSKOK - kind of a central SKOK.
2. Funds are not quaranted by BFG. SKOKs has their own guarantee fund.

But, I wrote "were" because if I'm not mistaken in autumn SKOKs are going under KNF supervision and will become just small banks probably.
