Hello,
I am Alex, i am 20 years old, i am from The Netherlands, and came to Poland for work!
This is my first post. i was looking trough the forum last few days. I'm not sure if this is in the right category..

I live in Krakow now for almost 2 months, i still cant figure out where to go for a PESEL.
Because they give me one adres: ''Przy Rondzie 6'' But i didn't find it. and the day after i was searching on the net and i found some usefull information such like what to bring with you (passport, work contract and a appartment lease agreement) i have no clue if this is all what i need. But then i found out that i have to go to some other offices too. But i am not able to find those adresses! so can someone please help me out

Thank you,
Alex

Hello Elecks,

and welcome to the Polish forums.

This is the place you are looking for:

Urząd Miasta Krakowa - Wydział Spraw Administracyjnychmore info‎
Aleja Powstania Warszawskiego 10
Kraków, Poland
12 616 91 09

Good luck!

6 sądowa, it's very close (walking distance from) Rondo Grzegórzeckie, Kraków, which many trams and buses go through.

Does this work?

On google viewer it's this one : # How can I mark a place on a map and show it on here?

Honestly, I don't know anymore, you are much better off ringing and finding out.

It will not matter which one you go to first, they send you to the other one, for fun, anyway.

That's funny because it is true :)

four years ago I went to register in Przy Rondzie 6 and the woman behind the counter had 13 stamps, I counted them.
I didn't get it done then, finally I was doing something else and they just gave me a PESEL in Aleja Powstania Warszawskiego 10...

What and why would anyone need a PESEL Number?

I can't understand that the PESEL is your birthdate, isn't there a privacy act or something so people can't know that stuff.

In England, if you had that and their mother's maiden name you could rob their I.D.

Since when has that been needed? I certainly didn't have a PESEL when I bought my car.
