Is a Polish radca prawny the same thing as legal adviser and solicitor and an adwokat is the equivalent of a barrister? Are their rights and duties identical or do they differ in some areas?
Radca prawny v adwokat?
Is a Polish radca prawny the same thing as legal adviser and solicitor and an adwokat is the equivalent of a barrister?
From the linguistic point of view I think that radca prawny equals a legal advisor and the adwokat is just a lawyer.
Considering the law however they have presently the same legal capacity in the Polish court - the radca prawny is able to act as a criminal defense attorney, and more. According to the new law (from 1st July 2015) there is practically no difference between radca prawny and adwokat in Poland.
