read that: europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/residence/worker-pensioner/non-eu-family-members/index_en.htm

Basically you can work as soon as your wife gets there a job first in less than 3 months.

You must find employer who will apply for your work permit.

Merged: Married to Polish citizen, Schengen visa holder and sceptical (move to Belgium or Germany possibility)

I'm from Egypt and married to a Polish citizen and I'm holder of a Schengen visa for 3 months I would like to know if I can move to Belgium or Germany with my wife and if we will be allowed to work legally there

Probably you will need first to get all your papers in place in PL: karta pobytu, zezwolenia na zamieskanie z powodu malzenstwo.... Then you can possibly get a job outside Poland.... But why not here? 😀

Easy to understand why Germany or Belgium rather than .... Poland!

PS: if you are so naive, just compare salaries and conditions ;););)

I'm an Egyptian too maried to a sweet Polish girl. Poland might not be as rich as Germany or Belgium but it definitely is not poor. It is a beautiful country and people are much more friendly than their west counterparts. Also, Unless you are a highly skilled personel, the salary/living costs in the west might not be that good of a bargen or much better than your current situation in Poland. You should also take family into consideration. being an imigrant no one wants to be alone, and having a family in Poland is a Plus that would make staying Poland not a bad choice at all.

*not to mention the delicious pierogi. :)
