In the age of the Internet, arguably, anyone can be a journalist since it is no longer necessary to own a printing press to effectively publish news. How has Polish law handled this since the Internet had not been invented when Poland's Press Law was enacted in 1984. ( Act of January 26, 1984 - Press Law (Journal of Laws No. 5, item 24) Can anyone buy a web address and claim to be a journalist now? What are the requirements under Poland's civil code?

There are no formal requirements for the journalist profession. It means that everyone may work in this business. The professional education is welcomed however not necessary. Check this article (in Polish)

Press Act of 1984 established a very wide range of people who can be called journalists. There are no requirements for qualifications or obligation to belong to a professional organization. Practically anyone can be a journalist.
