Hello Poles,

Me and my wife would be migrating to Poland in a month, If suppose we plan up for a kid in Poland:

Does the baby hold a Indian Citizenship by default?

Does the baby gets any kind of benefit in his/her education being born in Poland?

Ask at the Indian consulate in Warsaw. But I'm pretty sure that a child which has one Indian parent is Indian at birth. The kid most certainly will not qualify for a Polish passport (not unless either you or your wife have naturalised as Polish citizens, which I'm pretty sure would involve needing to give up Indian citizenship).

As compared to being born in India and then coming to Poland before he/she can speak, no.

Merged: Woman in Poland gives birth to child on the hospital floor

On the 2nd of November a woman was admitted to a hospital in Starachowice because she claimed she stopped feeling the movements of her baby. Upon taking an ultrasonographic examination the woman was told the baby had already died in her uterus.

She says she was left to her own soon after the medical examination only to find out she had no bed to lie on and as she started to feel contraction, she just lied on the floor and gave birth to her stillborn child.

The Health Ministry have promised to launch an enquiry.
