I am creating a new account on unicef to make online donation.

What does the following line mean?

"Zawsze dostępna historia darowizn online, przydatna przy rozliczaniu PIT"

Most importantly what is PIT? Is it a kind of tax that will be included in the donation that I give?

Pit -it's from english, personal income tax.
" always available online history of your donations, useful during reckon up PIT"
I'm not a bookkeeper but hope it's understood translation.

Merged: The free PIT (Personal Income Tax) calculation programs forcing the 1% donation

I wondered why these programs were free. I think I know now. Is it because each of them has a designated charity for the 1% donation thing that the taxpayer cannot change? In other words, you do the return and then as a thank you to the program vendor you give your 1% to the charity that the vendor is aligned with.

That certainly seems the case.
