Move to Poland without job, how about ZUS - I need to register myself in Poland

Hello,

In a few months I move to Poland. My current job stops and I saved enough money to first travel around, so I shall not have a job for some time.

My goal is to move to Poland to the address of my girlfriend and unregister in my own country, because I will keep paying huge monthly costs if I stay registered over there.

Then when all stuff is stored, we both shall travel across the country for multiple months, then after let's say 6 till 8 months of travelling, I shall look for a job...

To register myself in Poland, I see that I need to register myself at ZUS... Is this pure for registration purposes? Or do I then also need to pay the (pretty high) monthly fee as self-employed do?

Are there other pitfall's that I may encounter with my current plans ?

Okay, it's not perse ZUS, but I assume that other insurances are much more expensive, right?

First, find out how much ZUS will charge you and under what conditions. Then find out other medical companies.

I had a quick look at ZUS and you are looking for a minimum of 400 pln per month.

I understood from your original post that you just want to register yourself at your girlfriend's address (meldunek). It is a different procedure from the one described on the link that you copied. You don't need to go to DUW for that, you do it at Urzad Miejski:
