Does Karta Pobytu allow me to stay in Poland for 2 years and work in any job?

Ive looked for information about polish immigration laws,,, and i couldnt find many matches so I decided to ask on this forum.

I have worked in poland under visa obtained from my home country for one year.
This is my second year and now, I got karta pobytu for two years.

Its confusing because Ive always had VISA on my passport, and now I have this card... nothing on my passport.

So with this Karta Pobytu (Its for two years) I can stay in Poland for two years and work in any job? Do I have to have a contract with the company I am in now? because the contract is only one year and I got this karta porbytu for two years which is confusing.

If I am inside of EU with this Karta pobytu for two years, and I go back to my home country, and I come back to EU, They wont have a problem with this right?

Its just funny to me since its just a card,,, nothing said, just the expire date (which is in two years) and "short time stay card" or something like that...

If anyone here is an expert or knows about the immigration in poland, please let me know!

You can work for anyone you want, but you'll need a valid work permit for the work that you do. Very odd that they gave you a two year card for a one year contract, though.

If it's just for a short holiday, no problem.

Merged: New Poland's Karta Pobytu for a New job?

Dear Friends

Can anyone advise here as per your experience,
My situation is that I have a diploma from polish university with full time study ( which states no work permit required)
And i have a resident card now as per my status of working in a company.

I'm planning to change my job now and move to new company ,, so do i have to apply for totally new karta pobytu?

or i just have to notify the authority about new contract and job?

Can anyone help in this situation.
As per my knowledge due to study diploma its not required to apply new karta again but please your professional advice will be helpful.

Thanks

I would suggest you to call the voivodeship that you plan to move in case you are changing your city along with your job.

In your case, if you are not changing your city - first you should notice foreign office that you have your residence permit decision from , after - you leave your job.

And then you have 30 days to find a new job, in that 30 days you need to provide them the new contract otherwise after 30th day, you need to leave the country.

So in this case, you just need to provide them new job contracy.

If you are changing your city, you should go to the foreign office in the city that you plan to move. you should give them your new address registration and new job contract stating them that you have your residence card in connection with your graduation.

Hello,
You don't need to change your residence card if You stay in the same city. Just let the voivode know (by writing a letter) that you change employer and that's enough.

We provide foreigners with an effective assistance and support in legalizing their stay and in a smooth integration in Poland. We are based in Krakow. Here our website: expatsinpoland.pl/
